Sorry for the lack of chapters recently it's exam season! And I really strive to get good grades so that's means doing a lot of work outside of school to prep. My exams are this week and I'm cramming as much as I can!

"Lance there is no way you are taking me." Keith says sternly, glaring at the older boy from across the counter. Lance only smirks in response and leans against it, smugness evident in his stance.

"We are going. Don't think because everyone else is that it means that you can just duck out unnoticed. Besides, I was thinking we could go earlier than everyone else. We can have some alone time."

Now Keith didn't know if it was the persistence of lance constantly asking for the past hour while he was on shift, or the fact they would be alone that convinced him to say yes, either way he cursed whatever it was.

"Fine whatever god just stop asking!" Lance smirks in response.

Lance wanted to take him to the beach.

Keith hates the beach.

Everything about it made him angry, the sand, the water, the crowds, the heat. Everything. The beach just didn't seem appealing for a place for all his friends and him to hang out.

"Come on Keith- look forward to it, we're having a barbecue! Shay is finally feeling better and she's going to help Hunk and give us all a great time. Who knows, maybe I'll teach you to surf."

Keith feels his attention perk up a little but tries not to show it.
"Oh will you know?" Keith asks, sarcasm lined on his words.
"Mhm, Now don't think I didn't see a little light flicker on in your eyes princess. I know you want to surf and I'm going to teach you."

Keith blushes lightly at the words and nods.
"Okay fine. I'll go." Lance smiles huge and leans over the counter to peck Keith's head.
"Great, I want to show you something tonight- drop by my place at seven Kay?" Keith only smiles and nods before tending to an order as Lance walks away.

30 minutes had passed, give or take, and it was nearly Keiths break. He was very happy. He felt himself jump around when he hears someone, only to be assumed, talking to him.

"Hey it's you." Keith turns around to be met with a familiar face. Now he couldn't pinpoint anything in the moment- so he awkwardly stared trying to figure out who he was.

"It's me, lotor. I helped you find your little, Katie remember?" The name rings a bell in Keith's head and he finds his eyes widening lightly as he remembers when Katie got lost the day of Adam's birthday about 3 weeks ago.

"Oh my- It's you, Hi I'm Keith I can't remember if I introduced myself" Keith rushes for words and tries to push his awkwardness far enough back so that his voice wouldn't falter.

"It's nice to meet you Keith, granted I never thought I'd see you again but I'm glad I did." Keith nods and the machine beeps telling him enough coffee has been poured.

"Ah! Right- Um, I have a break in 10 minutes if you want to talk, coffee on me- I still owe you one." Lotor chuckles a little and nods.
"You owe nothing but if free coffee is on the table then count me in." Keith nods and rushes back to the machine before finishing the orders.

Keith finishes up his break and, to his surprise, spots Lotor at a table with Allura.
He takes a coffee for himself and Lotor over and gently places them on the table.
"Hi... Allura?" Keith says and Allura jumps before turning around and spitting Keith. Then smiling.
