"Nope! If you think I'm going near that you can fuck off!"
"Language!"
"Sorry but no!"

Currently lance was sitting on a surfboard trying to encourage Keith to get on with him. They weren't that far out, maybe up to their knees with the waves hitting and reaching their thighs, but Keith was convinced as soon as he got on lance would jump off and push him out into the ocean.

"Baby I'm going to be here with you the entire time, you can even have the ankle tie on if it makes you feel better!"
"Lance but as soon as I get on we're going to sink!" Lance starts laughing.

"Lance this isn't funny I'm going to get on and we're going to capsize and-"
"Keith there's a fish!" Lance points to the water next to Keith and the younger screams and jumps on top of lance, in turn on the board. Lance tightens his grip around Keith and starts laughing full pelt.

Keith's cheeks reach a bright pink as he smacks the arm of the older before moving away and sitting at the front half/middle of the board. Making lance have to move back to balance it out.

"Alright baby, all you have to do is lilo and stitch this shit so you can get a feel for the board alright?" Keith nods and lance shows him how to sit and hold on before lance begins to paddle out.

Keith notices the water getting more rough and starts to panic.
"Lance the water is moving more!" Lance rolls his eyes and chuckles.
"What do you think we can surf on calm water?" Keith feels very stupid.

Lance paddles out a bit more until he sees a decent wave building. He smirks a little as the familiar feeling of riding a wave starts to build. The adrenaline kicks in.

Unlike Keith, who's adrenaline has been replaced with a whole bucket of fear.

"Lance I've changed my mind!" Keith screeches as lance pushes the board closer. It starts to tip upwards a tiny bit signalling they were going over it. Lance hops up to his knees and paddles a little with his arms.

Turning the board, he follows the waves direction.
"Alright baby we're just going to ride the wave back to shore okay? We aren't doing any funny business like riding it through the curve we are just taking this gently since it's your first time. The wave isn't going very fast so you basically wouldn't have to hold on- so don't worry I've got you." Keith nods biting his lip and lance jumps to his feet.

The wave starts to form more and lance shuffles closer to the middle of the board. "Baby shuffle back otherwise we'll tip" Keith without having the be told twice shuffles back until he's basically under Lances feet. Lance smiles adoringly at the boy under him as he tilts the board a little to speed up.

"Lance" Keith warns but lance reaches down to stroke Keith hair, knowing it'll relax the boy.
"This really isn't that scary baby just watch it'll hit you and you'll enjoy it.

Keith takes a breath and focuses on Lances words and the ocean around him. Keith isn't going to lie, he was excited but more so scared. He always wanted to learn he loves the water, hes just scared of what's in the water. Like fish and crabs and the 'kraken' which lance made fun of him for.
