Keith sat up in the crib and looked around to what he could see around him. Not a lot to be honest. Lance had put a cover over the crib because Keith was complaining that he had a headache and the light in the room wasn't helping that very much. Keith smiles as he stares down to see himself wrapped in a small red blanket and a pacifier that fell from his mouth.

He picked it up and happily sucked it back in his mouth. He heard a gentle tune playing that he didn't register until now. He tried to pull at the sheets over his crib to try and peek out but they wouldn't budge. Keith pouts and kicks his legs out.

Keith was super nervous today, Lance and himself were going out to buy food for when lances family come in a couple days time. But at the end of the day lance said Keith could have a sleepover with Katie in his nursery. Katie was thrilled she never had her own nursery before and she was going to maybe design her room into a new one. Although Keith thought he heard Allura talking to Katie about moving out with her somewhere.

This made Keith sad because he knew Katie would move out and he wouldn't be able to pay the rent by himself. The agonising thoughts of this seemingly pulled Keith out of his little space with a huff.

"Lance!" Keith shouts and tries to fiddle with the ties on the bottom to get it loose.
"LANCE" He shouts annoyed and kicks the crib. He hears steps and then a door unlock.
"Baby?"
"Lance get this cover off I can't see anything it's irritating me!" Lance chuckles and unties the cover and pulls open Keith's crib. Keith huffs and crawls out.

"Ah ah ah" lance starts and picks Keith up before hooking him on his hip. Keith scowls.
"I'm not in headspace put me down."
"You're still in a one piece baba." Keith rolls his eyes and lance pinches his thigh.
"What's your attitude today for then huh?"

Lance starts to undress Keith out of his one piece and Keith sighs.
"I hear allura talking with Katie." Lance hums and kisses Keith's forehead.
"Is this about Katie maybe finding somewhere to live with allura?" Keith's head snaps up and Keith frowns.

"Yes. How do you know?" Lance smiles and pulls Keith's top over his head.
"Allura and I were talking about it over coffee."
"Oh, over coffee" Keith mocks and pouts.
Lance chuckles and kisses him on the forehead before finishing getting Keith ready.

Keith and lance leave the nursery and lock the door on the way out before heading downstairs.
"So, is Katie really going to leave?" Keith asks lance with a sad undertone that he tries to cover by the end of the sentence.
Lance smiles sadly and grabs Keith's hand.

"I think so baby." Keith looks down and heads into the kitchen. Lance follows after and lays a gentle hand on his shoulder.
"You'll be okay baby you can-"
"I can't be alone lance not again." Lance raises an eyebrow.
"You lived alone prior?"
"I know but it was bad." Lance smiles and kisses his forehead.
"Then you can come around here with hunk and me anytime you want okay baba? We don't know when Katie was planning it could be a year from now." Keith looks up at lance.
"Really?"
"Who knows baby"

Keith nods and lies his head against lance shoulder and the larger wraps his arms around the smaller. The silence is golden for a while until lance speaks up.
"Breakfast time!" Keith rolls his eyes.
"I'm not hungry." Lance perks an eyebrow.
"Babbbbby, you need to eat more fulfilling, and something better than snacking."

Keith whines and pulls away.
"I don't like what you have." Lance looks through the cupboards and sees cereals and pancake mixes.
"You like pancakes don't you?" Lance smiles and Keith frowns.
"....no" Lance laughs and flings him up in his arms.
"Yes you do!" He laughs.
