I had just finished getting ready. I decided to wear an orange dress with butterfly designs, (media) I let my curly hair down. I walk out of my room before coming face to face with Anakin in his jedi outfit, he looks me up and down with a smile.

"You look beautiful..." he says.

- Do you think so? Isn't that a bit much? I ask as I run my hands over my dress.

- No it's perfect." He says.

I smile then, the gala was taking place in the palace, so it wasn't much of a walk. We just needed to walk through the palace. We arrived in front of the reception hall which was wide open. There were several tables with all-you-can-eat buffets. Waiters everywhere carrying trays filled with glasses of champagne.

There were already a lot of people, I see several bourgeois, politicians and families of royal blood. I look at Anakin who looked confident.

"Are you alright?

- Yes, don't worry." He answers.

I smile then before we enter. A waiter immediately walks up to me, handing me a tray.

"Princess Amidala." He says.

I smile at him before accepting a glass of champagne, I take a second one and hand it to Anakin.

"Oh no, not tonight.

- Oh come on, just one?" I say.

He thinks for a second before shrugging and taking the glass of champagne and thanking me. I then take a sip before seeing Bail Organa, a senator I got along well with. He smiles at me, I see his wife Breha Organa who is the minister of education.

"Princess, how nice to see you tonight."

He bows slightly, I do the same before his wife smiles at me. The Senator turns to Anakin before speaking.

"And you must be Anakin Skywalker?"

Anakin nods before the senator shakes his hand, he speaks up, making conversation.

"I have heard a great deal about you, it is a pleasure to finally meet you.

- It's a pleasure to meet you too, Senator."

I smile as I see that they seem to be getting along well. They both start talking before Breha walks up to me with a smile on her face.

"Hello Oriana, it's been a long time since I've seen you.

- Yes indeed, I stayed on Naboo for a few months, I didn't go to Coruscant where I would have had a better chance of running into you. Are you well? I said with a smile.

- Yes, we're fine." She replies before taking a sip of champagne.

I got along pretty well with the Organa family. They are honest and kind people.

"The last time I saw you you told me you were trying to have a child, but I guess since you're drinking, you're not succeeding? I said sadly.

- Yes, I am. But we're not giving up hope." She said with a smile.

I take another sip of champagne before I see Breha discreetly glancing over at Anakin, she then speaks up, swallowing the sip of champagne she had just taken.

"He's charming, is he your boyfriend?" She said.

Well, yes.

"No, Anakin is a Jedi, he can't have a romantic relationship, we are just friends. He is only there to protect me and the others.

- The others? she said in confusion.

- Yes, my powers are getting out of control." I said, looking down.
