I am awakened by noises around me, I slowly open my eyes, noticing that Anakin is no longer in the bed. I quickly sit up, turn around and see Anakin getting dressed. I frown in confusion, wondering why he got up so early every morning.

"What are you doing up so early?" I say, rubbing my eyes.

Anakin pulls on his belt and fastens it before leaning in and placing a kiss on my forehead.

"I have to go." He whispers.

He had to go all the time. But I understand, he's a Jedi now, and he has a duty to fulfill.

"Where? And for how long? I ask curiously.

- Aldeeran, I'll be back in the morning." He answers as he straightens up.

What would he do to Aldeeran? I see him grab his cape and put it on.

"Why do you have to go?

- I've been tasked with catching a potential assassin of Senator Organa." He says.

I sigh before grabbing a t-shirt from the edge of the bed and putting it on. I then get up from the bed and walk over to Anakin.

"I'm coming with you." I say.

Anakin turns around with a raised eyebrow, he didn't really look like he was up for it, but I know I'd end up going with him anyway.

"What? No Oriana, I have to protect you, and going to help me catch an assassin isn't going to keep you safe.

- But it could be complicated to protect me if you are millions of kilometers away?" I say while squinting with a malignant air.

Anakin sighs as he looks down realizing that I was right on this one. He then asks me to quickly pack my things and join him on the landing strip where the ship is waiting.

"And try not to be too long." He said as if he was my father.

I stifle a laugh as I put on a simple dress and tie my hair in a bun.

"Yes, I'll be quick." I say.

Anakin smiles at me and places a chaste kiss on my lips. He turns his back on me and walks out of the room, so I continue to get ready before gathering my things. Suddenly someone knocks on my door.

"Yes?" I allow this person to enter.

The door opens the next second revealing Padme, I smile at her. She enters and closes the door behind her.

"Where are you going like that? she asks.

- Aldeeran, with Anakin. I'll be back tomorrow." I say as I put a few things in a bag.

Padme sits on the edge of my bed with a sigh. I could read a lot of fatigue on her face, is being queen of Naboo that hard? I must admit, I never realized it.

"I have to go to Coruscant tonight. She said with a huff.

- Senate? I ask confused.

- No, otherwise you would be summoned there too, Oriana." She said with a laugh.

It's true that I hadn't thought about it and that I had forgotten that I was now a senator too. I guessed then that she must go to Coruscant for her duties as queen.

"Good luck Padme, have children before you die so I don't inherit the throne." I sigh.

Padme stifles a laugh before telling me she'll try. I zip up my bag and hand it over to Antonia to take back to the ship. We leave my room, I close the door behind me then turn to Padme.

"I have to go, maybe we can meet tomorrow? I say.

- Yeah, see you tomorrow." She says.

I take her in my arms, her hands slide on my waist caressing the silk fabric of my dress. Her caresses felt so good, I felt safe with her. Padme was one of the only reasons I survived in this world, and even though Anakin has become a new one, Padme will always be one.
