Portals (dreamnoblade)

Chapter 1: The beginning

It's been six years since Dream died.

And it was early morning, the sun having not long risen. The sky was clear with not a cloud in sight.
That was until the sky darkened from its light blue to a dark grey as it was filled with angry grey almost black clouds. It began to rain heavily as the sky was lit up by lightning and thunder filled the once quiet sky.

Suddenly purple beam like lights shout up into the sky that where seen for miles. Horrible sounds followed as creatures came out of the portal like things.

Screams where heard as people tried to escape and find safely as these monsters moved towards them kill them as they went.

In a castle in Antarctica.

Techno stormed through the halls of the castle yelling out orders to the guards around the castle as he made his way to the throne room.

Throwing open the double oak doors Techno stormed in. "Phil!" Techno called looking at the man at in the throne, who looked up at Techno.

"How's it looking?" Phil asked as he ran a hand down his tired looking face. "Not good. We've set up a perimeter around the village and are closing the gates but where trying to give those who live in the outer smaller villages a chance to get here" Techno explained to Phil about what was going on.

Phil sighed "well that's all we can do for now until we can find out more about what where facing" Phil said as he stood up stretching "I'll head to the library to see if I can find anything about what's happening. You keep doing what your doing. I'll let you know if I find anything" Phil told Techno as he walked passed Techno and exited the throne room as he began to made his way to the castle library.

Techno now left alone in the throne room let out a sigh as his shoulders slumped. 'Where did it all go wrong?' Techno asked him self as he look one of the many windows in the throne room. 'I hope your watching Dream, because we might need you to guide us because I don't know what's going on. But maybe if you where still here you'd know' Techno thought looking at the sky as lightning once again lit up the sky.

'But unfortunately your not. I miss you smiles' Techno let a sad smile come across his face as a single tear ran down his face. Even though it's been six years Techno hasn't gotten over Dream. He still misses the smiley masked man every second of every day.

The gods and goddess looked down on the world as the chaos raged on below them.

"Okay who did this?!" XD yelled while pointing below them at the monsters that where killing the humans. XD looked around the other deities who all shook there head saying they didn't do anything. "Fate please don't tell me you saw this coming and didn't tell us" XD asked looking at Fate who was the god of fate and Destiny but he just shook his head. "No, I did not see this coming" he told XD looking the other god in the eyes to let the god know he wasn't lying.

"So your telling me that this happened without any of use knowing?" XD asked the other deities who nodded. XD sighed "I though we locked them away"

"We did. He just must have found away to get out" Death said as she looked once again at the destruction going on below them.
"How? We made sure he couldn't use his powers" the sky god asked. "I don't know" the water goddess replied as she began to think. "Did we leave any loopholes we missed?" She asked the other deities, who also began to think. "No, not that I know off" replied the god of knowledge.

"Well clearly he found away" the goddess of love said crossing her arms across her chest. "We don't have time to argue we need to find away to stop him" XD said stoping the argument before it could even start.

"How when we stoped him last time the cost was being able to intervene with anything going on, on the human world" Death asked, she had a point when they stoped him last time the cost was there power to intervene with anything on earth. Making them views to what happed on earth unable to help only do their jobs.

At the time it's was a cost they where willing to pay as they didn't think there was a chance for him to come back. But he'd once again proved them wrong. He'd done that they all thought was impossible.

"It's useless all we can do is watch as he brings an end to the world" Fate said as he deflated at this knowledge. "We only prolonged the end of the world, not save it" said the goddess in of water.

"None of them will be able to stop it from happening. They'll only prolong there end" god of the sky told them. They where all powerless to stop what was happening, even with them being gods and goddess they couldn't do anything.

They stood in silence as they heard the prayers and cry's for help for them people as they asked the gods and goddess to come to rescue. But all of them where powerless all they could do was watch and listen. "I'm so sorry mortals we can help you" the goddess of love said with sadness as tears ran down her face.

"I can" a voice called from behind causing the deities to turn around to look at who the voice came from.

"You can't young DayDream" the god of knowledge told Dream. "But I can. I wasn't here when you all stoped him. So it doesn't apply to me remember. I can help them. I'm aloud to intervene" Dream told them as he took a few more steps forward. "I mean young DayDream is correct" the sky god said to the others.

"But he's still only young" the goddess of water reminded them. "But he's still technically a god" XD reminded them as he stepped towards Dream. "But don't you think he's done enough?" Death asked not wanting to make Dream do anymore than he already has.

"Then I guess it's up to him. What do you say little DayDream?" The sky god asked turning to full face the young man. "I may technically not be a full god but I can't just sit back and watch as they die while I could have done something to stop it" Dream told them while fixing his fingerless gloves. "My magic has finally restored but even then I'd find away to go back to help them. As long as I can still move I'll fight for them" Dream told them determined to get them to let him go to earth.

The deities looked at one another then back at Dream. They knew that Dream really wanted to see Techno again but they also knew that they wouldn't be able to stop the young man from fighting him. They questioned if this was another trial for Dream to become a full god.

They nodded to each other as they looked back at Dream. "We'll send you back DayDream" XD told Dream as he approach Dream with the other deities. Dream nodded ready to be sent back.

"But you must remember that sending you back will not only drain our energy but also your magic" XD explained to Dream who again nodded. "This is your only time to turn back" the god of knowledge told Dream as they made a circle around Dream.

"I'm not turning back. I've made up my mind" Dream confidently said as he made sure he had his things before he left. "Good luck DayDream" the god of luck finally spoke as he look at Dream who was prepared to once again have to save the world. This time hopefully without the cost of his life. "Be careful" XD told Dream as they sent Dream back. "Always" was the last thing they heard Dream say.

XD sighed sadly as he felt the tiredness settled in. 'Hopefully you can stop on his own DayDream. You maybe the youngest but your the most powerful. The last time we faced him he killed the one before you and it took centuries for you to appear.' XD thought as he sat down. 'And even then your where only a mortal at first'.

So Dream or also known as DayDream was once again sent to earth.

Okay to explain a bit more Dream was immortal and at first he thought it was because the gods cursed him but it wasn't. It was because he was sort of a god. The only reason he died was because he used all his magic. Dream lives off of magic is he runs out he dies.

That's why when he had to use all his magic to destroy the ruin and use his magic to contain the explosion he died.
