Hey, I'm Whimsy and I'm gonna do a 31 day writing challenge, where I write every day this month of July. I like writing but I usually write a story and then never touch it for weeks, so this is an attempt to not do that, and like every challenge there will be punishments for skipping a day but we'll get to that, first, lets go over some rules.
1. I need to write one story everyday, no using one's I've previously written (you can't really make sure I don't but trust me).
2. They need to be able to be read without needing to reading a previous story, all of them have to be oneshots or first chapters, no book climaxes.
3. Each one has to be at least 200 words, they'll probably always be longer but 200 words is a safety net just in case I run out of time. If I somehow write anything shorter, it won't count.
4. The day ends in my time zone, so even if its 12 for you but 11 for me, I still have time.
5. New rule! 7/2/22 I can edit a story later as long as I publish it on that day. I just can't make drastic changes and I have to follow the rules when I post it. So I can add or take out words unless that causes me to go above or below 200 words in the process. If I do, that counts as failing the day. I am only saying this because I've noticed mistakes in day 2 and its actually 7/3 as we speak but I need to fix them.
This is what I have at the moment but I'll probably think of more along the way and update this as I go. Now for the punishment. If I miss a day, you guys get to tell me what to write and I can't say no, unless its I'm not comfortable. Not only that but I still have to do the day I missed. If I miss multiple in a row I have to keep writing what you say. So Theoretically, I could end up writing 62 short stories instead of of 31, that's not happening though. Finally my do's a don'ts:
I will write:
Fluff
Suggestive content (?)
Your OC's
angst
crack fics
I won't write:
Smut
Any fetishes
Basically no suggestive content
Fan fiction (Nothing against it, I just get really self conscious, though if I'm told for missing a day a day I will.)
Like the rules these might change as the challenge continues or just think of more but this is all I have a the moment. Now it's 30 minutes til the next day, let me do the first entry before I already have to leave. Also don't hesitate to critique me I wanna get better, so all feed back is appreciated. On to the rest of the book!
