"Who are you? What are you doing here? Did you follow me?" The woman yelled at the man. She held a sword to his neck and he had his hands in the air. Despite the aura of danger emanating from the mysterious woman, the man had an almost bashful smile on his face, sweat dripping from it. It was like he was more embarrassed that he was caught then scared that he was about to get beheaded. It unnerved the woman.
"Sorry, sorry. I probably look suspicious following you, you can put your blade down now," He said, his tone was playful, the woman just jabbed her sword closer causing the man to take a careful step back. He's not tense in the slightest, not on guard either. Does he think I'll just let him go? She thought. The woman looked him up and down, ignoring his subtle blush that crept on his face as she did. Nothing special about his shoes, no weapon hidden in his clothes, he was flexing his fingers in a strange way, but there was nothing in it nor up his sleeve.
"You didn't answer my question. Who are you and what are you doing here? I won't hesitate to end you!" She told him, leaning closer to the man, the sword still less than an inch from his bare neck. His guard was still down and the same bashful smile resided on his lips. Not once did a smirk cross his face, no murderous glint in his eyes, no hint of anger or fear could be heard in the man's voice. He just came off as calm at most, nervous, like he was having a conversation with his crush and not getting threatened with a sword to his throat.
"Oh well you can call me Kasper, and I guess you were right, I'm following you, but it's for a good reason I promise. You interest me quite a bit and I was wondering if you'd join me." Kasper lowered his arm, his hand outstretched, he looked down at the sword and then stopped, like he forgot about his situation. The woman was confused, and it showed on her face, Kasper looked as if he was trying to suppress a laugh. I interest him? What a creep!
"Join you? I don't even know who you are! What are you gonna do if I say no? I could kill you right now and I will if you keep following me,"
"If you drop your sword, we could have a friendly discussion to change your mind. To be honest, I know you're skilled in sword fighting, Adira, but I didn't expect to have one at my neck right now, and I'd rather not die here."
How does he know my name? Adira tensed up, Kasper's expression didn't look any different. How long has he been following me? How much does he know? She suddenly felt scared, her mind racing. How could someone who looked so harmless suddenly feel so dangerous?
Without saying a word Adira slashed at him, swift and precise, despite her guard being down. Kasper was faster. He closed his hands and became a blur. Adira's momentum caused her to stumble forward and she quickly steadied herself and looked back. Kasper was there, his form wispy and his hand rubbing his neck.
"You're a– You can do magic!"
"I really didn't want to do this, but as I said, I didn't want to be headless. Can we have a chat now? I want to get to know you."
