Chapter 10

Nadine's POV

As i was sitting on the chair, i couldn't see anything. It was completely dark.

*What happened?* I think in my head

My hands were cuffed behind my back to a chair. I didn't know where i was, i was scared

While i was busy thinking what happened i heard footsteps approaching me. My heart beated fast in my chest.

Aaron pulled of the blindfold and a sharp light hit my eyes. It was Bright. I was locked up in the basement blindfolded and now the light is sharp!!

"Hey my love" Aaron said trailing his fingers down my cheeks

"Where am i?" I asked curiously

"Well you're in my basement" Aaron said

"What happened?" I asked

"You went in my room, and saw pictures of you and i hitted you with my bat" he said

"Why are you doing this to me?" I asked

I was scared he was going to hit me. Surely he wouldn't hit the girl he loves

"Babe I'm only doing this to be with you" he said

"But why?" I asked

"Because the moment i saw you, i fell inlove with you. I had to lie about my life" he said

"W-what?!" I said shocked

"Baby, I'm working for the Mafia. My father owns the American Mafia organization. He's passing the organization to me. I'm on a mission to keep an eye on someone. But me and my father made a deal. If i could get you to run away with me , he wouldn't kill anyone" he said

"What the f-ck?" I said.

"The people who was dead wasn't suicide. I killed them. They were in our way my love" he said

"You're a psychopath!!" I screamed at him

"Scream all you want no one will hear you" he said in a husky toned voice

I remembered while he was telling me about his pathetic life. I was on a call with Steph. Surely my bestie would do something. Well i hope she would call the police

Aaron's POV

I could see in Nadine's eyes the fright. She was scared. I didn't want my angel to be scared of me.

"Please let me go" she begged

"Love , if i let you go i might as well kill you now" i said

"P-please" she begged

"No my angel" i said stroking her hair

I went out of the basement and into the kitchen to get her some water. My angel has to be hydrated for our get away.

I went back to the basement and held the cup of water in her face. I gave her a straw to drink the water.

I couldn't untie her arms , who knows what she's capable.

She finished the water and i sat it next to the chair and i talked about our future together

Nadine's POV

"We will escape this place and buy a mansion in Italy or where you want to go and start a Mafia organization. I'll be the mafia boss and you will be my mafia princess" he said

I kept listening to him talking about "our" life together.

As i was busy listening to him i saw movement. The basement stairs was behind Aaron a few meter's away from us.

It's Steph!? With a gun. I kept quiet not to give attention to Steph

Aaron's POV

"Eventually when everything is perfect and we can settle in. We will start our own family. Our children will be trained to fight in the Mafia. And when we retire they can take over" i said

I really wanted to run away with Nadine, i loved her so much.

I took the glass and got up. But before i turned around i heard a familiar voice

"Untie her" Steph said holding the gun at me

"Why would i want to do that?" I asked

"The police are on there way" she said

"Come on Steph , my baby" i said hoping she would stand down

"Don't you dare call me baby!" She said

I walked slowly to her. I wanted to grab the gun out of her hands but she threatened to shoot me

"Back the f-ck up" she said

"Okay okay calm down" i said

"Steph help me please!!" Nadine begged

I saw Steph's attention was at Nadine. I quickly tried to grab the gun and Steph pulled the trigger. The bullet missed me.

I tried to run leaving them and then i felt a painfull stung on my leg and i collapsed on the floor. That's when i realized i was shot.

Nadine's POV

Steph shot Aaron in his leg. He won't go far. And the police were on there way

"Nadine!!" Steph yelled running towards me

"Steph" i said smiling

She untied me and i gave her a huge hug

"How did you find me?" I asked curiously

"We were on a call when you told me about the pictures. I tracked you're phone down and i called the police" Steph said

"I'm so happy i called you!!" I said.

I started to cry . It was tears of joy.

The police came down the stairs and arrested Aaron for his pathetic actions

"This isn't over my love!! We will run away together!!" Aaron said

He was a complete psychopath

1 year later ...

I was happy i didn't run away with Aaron. I still can't believe i was inlove with a psychopath.

I had a interview with the cops and it went well. After that Aaron was sent to jail for 18 years for kidnapping and murder. I didn't need to worry about him anymore.

My life was great. Steph and i went to the same college after we graduated highschool. I met a dashing young man named Ethan. He became my boyfriend. I was a hard working learner , and i loved learning new things.

I was very happy the psyco crush of mine was locked up. Without Steph i could've been dead

Aaron's POV

I hate Steph with everything i have. I should've killed when my father told me to.

Luckily my father heard about me in jail. He came and bailed me out. We traveled to another country far from NYC

Our current county was Italy.

And best off all i founded a new target.
