{Dani's POV}

{Dani's Living Room}

{6:12am}

The light in the living room flipped on and I screamed.

Shooting Robin awake as the figure winced at my cries.

The shadow came back up and spoke in an annoyed tone.

"Ow! Hey! Delicate ears  over here if you don't mind."

It was Steve.

"Harrington! It is 6 in the morning, what the hell are you doing here?" I pointed to the clock on the living room wall.

Robin groaned and sat up, looking annoyed as ever when her eyes saw Steve.

"Well, I went to Robin's house first, her parents told me she was here." He sat on the chair parallel to us.

"Trust me Dani, Robin isn't the only best friend who knows where you keep your spare house key."

I sighed, "That's great Steve, but let me ask another way. Why did you go to both of our houses and creep in before the sun is even up?"

I said, agitated and still trying to slow down my racing heart.

"I felt bad blowing you guys off on Friday, so I figured I'd take you guys to the 24-hour diner right by work."

He looked at his watch.

"We start work at ten o'clock, and I know it takes girls forever  to get ready so I thought I could help."

I took a deep breath and put my head on Robins shoulder, she sighed as well.

"Man, where's the 'You Suck' board when you need it. You just earned all the tally's in the world." Robin spoke, petting my hair to calm me down.

"Sure, sure, but sense you're up.. Can we go?" I looked at Steve and lifted my head to meet Robin's eyes.

"Well, there's no food here, so we might as well."

Robin nodded and I started to stand, helping her up as well.

We walked to my bedroom as Steve tried to follow us, I think sometimes he forgets he's our male best friend.

I pressed my hand to his chest to keep him from walking into the bedroom

He groaned in protest but started walking back to the living room.

Robin and I looked at each other and just giggled.

These were really my best friends.

{Family Video Store}

{10:35am}

Even at work I was still sleepy, although I'm always thankful for Steve giving us rides.

I usually had time to stop at my coffee shop but Steve took so long to fix his hair in my bathroom that we had to rush through breakfast at the diner and come straight to work.

Yet he says girls are the ones that take too long.

I was stocking the shelves with movies in the horror section, gazing at them as I put them in place.

Looking at the ones i've seen, which were most of them, and writing down the ones I hadn't so I could rent them later.

I heard the bell on the door ring, which meant someone came in.

That wasn't unusual for a Sunday, so I just continued hoping Steve or Robin would take care of it.

"Anything you'd recommend, princess?" I heard a familiar voice coo behind me, I turned and met Eddies eyes, holding a coffee cup.

I instantly smiled when I fully processed it was him. "Wha? What are you doing here?"

I still couldn't take the smile from my face.

He handed me the cup of coffee and kissed my head.

"Oh you know, came to scope out the babes that are just packed in here because of your friend Steve."

I laughed as I took a sip, it was perfectly made.

"But it looks like I'm talking to the hottest one here." He said as he pressed another kiss to my lips.

I rolled my eyes with a blush to my face, I get butterflies just when he walks in a room.

"So back to my question. Anything you'd recommend, princess?" I started to think and talked to him about his preferences with horror movies.

We had been talking for a while, until I finally handed him one.

He reached out to receive it and the title read " The Evil Dead ".

He stared at me, looking skeptical.

"Just trust me! I've watched it so many times, and from your music taste and what you've told me, I'm shocked you haven't  seen it!"

He shrugged, "I guess I was never a big movie person until I met you." he smiled at me.

I smiled back while sipping my coffee, God did I need it.

"C'mon, I'll ring you up." I spoke, walking us to the counter.

Robin saw what was happening and nudged her and Steve to the employees only room.

I giggled and started ringing him up. "Okay," I said handing him the movie.

"You need to have this back in 14 days." He held the movie in his hands, his rings reflecting off the fluorescent lights of the store.

"Just one more question." He said looking concerned.

"Okay, what's up?" I said feeling slightly concerned at his change of tone.

"Are you possibly.." He hesitated but smiled at me when he felt ready to continue talking,

"free in the next 14 days to watch this with me?"

I smiled and felt my face getting red. I nodded. "I think I can help you with that, yes. I am."

He bit his lip and smiled, I wrote down my number in the back of his receipt and slid it across the counter to him.

"How about you call me and we'll figure it out?" I said meeting his eyes.

He nodded and folded it up, placing it in his jeans pocket.

"I'll be sure to give you a call princess, enjoy the rest of your shift, and the coffee."

I kissed him from across the counter and happily he kissed me back.

"I will, thank you." I said as I watched him turn, he started walking out.

As he opened the door he turned and gave me a small wave goodbye. I waved back as he left and pulled away in his van.

When I turned around Robin had the biggest smile on her face, and Steve's jaw was dropped.

"Did he just? And then she? Did they?" He stammered.

"Please, please press, one at a time." I said to his rambling question.

I took a sip and looked on the coffee cup, in Eddie's messy handwriting it wrote

"Eddie's Princess".

I felt untouchable, butterflies swarmed inside of me.
