{Eddie's POV}

{Dani's Bedroom}

{7:27am}

I woke up with Dani still wrapped around me, and to the irritating sound of the doorbell.

 I groaned and  looked down at Dani, her hair was a mess, I still thought she looked beautiful.

"That's my girl." I said as I gently moved her over.

The doorbell was really starting to get to me.

I hopped out of bed and walked down the stairs to the front door.

I opened it and my eyes met Steve's and Robin's.

Robin looked at me with a laugh, I looked down and realized I was still in my boxers.

"What?" I said gruffly.

"Good morning to you too." Steve murmured as he walked passed me and upstairs, Robin following closely.

"You know you and Dani both hate mornings, especially when I show up, really it's great, you deserve each other." Steve continued as he set coffee and bags of food on the kitchen table.

"Once again, what? " I asked, Steve rolled his eyes as he unpacked food.

I protested as Robin shoved a coffee in my hand.

"We're all skipping school to take care of Dani." I took a sip of coffee and sighed.

"Guys this is really nice, but I got it, her dad is gone for two weeks and I'm suspended for the rest of the week."

"We know," Robin said.

"But we also know that Jason is around town, suspended as well. We don't want anything else happening." She motioned to my still wrapped hand.

I nodded, taking another sip.

"How is she?" Steve asked as he brought food to the kitchen cabinets to put them away.

"Good, fell right asleep last night after you guys left." I said as I started helping Steve organize.

"I think she's still asleep. Just in a lot of pain, nasty concussion." They both nodded.

We stayed in the kitchen talking for some time, telling them that we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend.

Robin seemed really happy for us, Steve did too. Sorta..

Suddenly the phone in the living room started to ring.

It rang twice and then just, stopped.

"Wrong number, I guess?" Robin said.

We just agreed and thought nothing of it.

{Dani's POV}

{Dani's Bedroom}

I picked up the phone and it was Dustin.

"Hello?" I said tiredly, my head was pounding.

"Code red Dani! Code Red!! " He hollered.

I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and sat up.

"Wha? Dustin what are you talking about?" I asked, It was way too early to deal with this.

"Lucas is on the basketball team, he heard everyone saying that because Jason is suspended he can't play, and he blames you." I suddenly lost my breath as he continued.

"He's been going insane and said he was going to 'make you pay'  Dani. Now I don't know what that means but I don't think you should be home." He finished, talking with urgency and anxiety in his voice.

I started to feel really uneasy.

Suddenly a rock busted through my bedroom window and I screamed so loud it hurt my body.

Eddie came crashing through the door and saw me sobbing on the phone with Dustin.

"Dani? Dani what's going on over there?!" Tears streamed down my face.

In a shaky voice I repeated back to him. "Code. Red." Dustin went ballistic.

"Shit! Shit! Um, where can you go??" I started to think but everything was so bright and loud.

I looked at Eddie and he froze as he looked at the rock, there was a piece of paper tied to it.

He picked it up and on it the note read:

"INVISIBLE BITCH.

WATCH YOUR BACK!

OR YOU WILL DISAPPEAR."

Eddie looked at me with alarmed eyes.

"I'll call you back, Dustin." I whispered.

"Don't! Walkie talkie!! Use it!!" He protested. I stammered out a response and hung up.

Eddie moved me over to the other side of the bed and immediately called his uncle.

Robin and Steve came over and hugged me as I sobbed.

Eddie talked to his uncle for a while, and after some quiet conversation he hung up as well.

"I guess our trailer got the same treatment. But, with spray paint." Eddie said quietly.

His breathing started to get heavier, angrier.

"They spray painted 'FREAK' on the side of my uncles trailer, I guess..we..we got the rocks too." He said in a shaky voice.

I tried to calm him down, but when he looked at me, it wasn't Eddie's eyes I was looking in.

"Eddie i..it's okay we just have to-" He cut me off, his emotions getting the better of him.

"Fuck!" Eddie screamed in frustration.

I couldn't blame him, we were feeling the same things.

Scared, vulnerable, and angry.

I put my face in my hands. "This is all my fault. I should've never stood up to him."

Eddie looked at me, I thought he was going to hug me or comfort me, like he usually does.

Instead, he snapped at me, "Stop it Dani, this is no time for pity. We need to leave, pack a bag, we're getting the fuck out of here."

He said as he started getting dressed.

I froze at his sudden aggression, it felt like my dad was here right after mom died.

"Eddie.. She can't.. She has to-" Robin said hesitantly.

"No! Shut up! Pack the food in Steve's car and my van, we're going!" Eddie screamed as he ran out of my room.

I hid my face in Robins shoulder and cried, she held me as Steve ran after him.
