The second I walk in, I am surprised on how glorious the building is, long glass panes etched up into the clouds, an impressively beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling, enlightening the room. Eagerly, I nervously edged towards the receptionist and leaned in and whispered, "Greetings sir, I need to get to the 600th floor." I felt like a dumb fool, what if he just burst out laughing in my face? "To Olympus I see?" the man asked. Shocked by his understanding response, I confidently answered, "Yes sir, I must see Zeus at 4:00 PM sharp."
Thankfully, he was convinced and let me go through to get to the elevator.Nervous yet hyped, I stepped into the elevator, I stared at the buttons. Expect that there was an extra button on the bottom: '600th floor' Glad, I lightly pressed the button and it glowed red and the elevator started moving.
*A few minutes later*
DING!
The elevator stopped, and slowly the doors opened. Gradually, I stumbled out of the elevator and was aghast at the scenery: massive marble pillars at least 10ft tall, all in a straight line going forwards, astonishing plants spiralling throughout the building, amazing tapestry stuck onto the wall, I couldn't help but stare at it for a long moment.
"Please step forward Selene." A loud voice echoed through the hallway.
I turned to see 12 thrones in a U shape all decorated differently according to the god they belonged to.Astounded by the architecture, I strolled towards the throne room, noticing that 12 8ft tall gods and goddesses were glaring at me, each with different emotions in their eyes.
"Welcome, Selene, I hope you feel comfortable and pleased to be here." Zeus announced, as everyone straightened up.
"I indeed am, Lord." I answered back, trying my best not to stutter.
"It is only generous for us to introduce ourselves first, Apollo, you may start." Zeus exclaimed.
Everyone looked over to the long-haired blonde god that grinned and proudly said, "My name is Apollo, I am the God of the Sun, and God of Music, God of Healing and danc-"
"Great, Artemis, you next!" Zeus interrupted.
"Okay, I am Artemis and I am the goddess of hunt and wildlife," Artemis sighed, picking at her nails.
I felt a sudden feeling in my stomach, it was a mixture of guilt and... - love...After everyone introduced themselves, there was one god left - Dionysus.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. My name is Dionysus and I am the god of wine, viola! Done, now shut up," he muttered, clearly annoyed.
Finally, it was my turn to introduce my self, everyone was eagerly looking at me (expect from Dionysus who was staring into nothingness) "My name is Selene and I am 15!" I smiled, as I looked around at the unfamiliar, soon to be familiar, faces.
"Fantastic, now Selene, I must ask you a crucial question," Zeus' tone turned serious almost instantly. "Would you like to become a goddess, or... become a demigod?"
I stared at him for a few seconds and then I quickly glanced at Artemis, I think I was in deep love...
"I have made my decision, Lord" I stood up straight."I have chosen to become... immortal."
