My limbs were aching, my mind groaning and complaining at me to take a break, but I refused. I had to get out of here to at least be close to save Artemis, frustratingly, I had completely lost track of time, I couldn't see the sky so there was no chance of even estimating what time of day it was. Sighing heavily, I forced myself to continue forwards, my body just wanted to collapse and never get up again, and so did my brain, which did not help at all.
Without warning, I spotted a giant line of titans in front of a pair of doors. I was confused at first, but then I realised what doors they were - the Doors of Death. This is exactly where I needed to be to escape! Perfect timing! Expect that I had no chance to even get close to the doors without getting noticed and killed. I dashed to hide behind a rock, still trying to see what was all the commotion about.
"POSITIONS! THE DOORS WILL BE OPENING SOON, PREPARE TO PASS THROUGH THEM AND GET TO GREECE WHERE I WILL GIVE FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS!"a loud voice bellowed.
"To Greece!" my mind sprang with joy, the doors lead to Greece! That's where I have to go to rescue Artemis! I was so excited, I couldn't wait to finally escape this hellish place! My happiness soon faded after I realised I didn't actually have a plan to leave, I would have to wait until they go, then I could go, but then again there was no way they would let me through.
"Uhm, madam, you are not supposed to be here!" a hushed tone came from behind me, sending chills up my spine. I quickly turned around only to find myself face to face with a titan, well he wasn't trying to kill me, at least not yet...
"Who are you?! And will you try kill me or what?!" I answered back, in the same whisper as the titan did.
"No, no, not at all, and I am Damasen, child of Gaia and Tartarus, and you are?" he responded, calming me down, so I was right about him not wanting to snitch on me and getting me killed in a painful way.
"I am Selene, minor goddess of: royalty, feminine power, grace and conquests." I whispered back.
"Okay, I am guessing you want to escape from here? If so I can help you." he looked pass me to look at the line of titans, who were still standing in front of the doors."Really?!" a large smile grew on my face.
"Yes, but I need you to listen to me clearly, okay?" he said in a serious voice. I agreed and I was surprised to his plan on how to free me, first he needed to distract the titans, then he had to go hold a button on the wall by the doors to open them, so while the titans are distracted by Damasen, I stealthily sneak into the elevator and I manage to get free. But to conclude this plan, he will have to sacrifice his life. That part upset me, he had to die just to save a random goddess that he found in Tartarus, but he was so sure of the plan there was no arguing.
"Okay, do you understand?" he asked me, looking past my shoulder again.
"Yes, but are you sure, I mean you have to die for me!" I whispered sadly.
He reassured me it doesn't matter, since he was already meant to be killed either way, so he said he might as well die helping someone. After that, our plan took action.
