We continued to look around Olympus, I was astonished at the furnishing! It was like a dream come true - no, it is a dream come true. After the tour, Zeus finally decided to leave me alone and go do whatever the King of the Gods does, so I decided to go to the vine garden, where unfortunately Dionysus was sitting. "Uh, hey, Dionysus, mind if I sit here a while?" I asked gently.
"Yes I do mind, scram moron," he hissed back (🐍🍇) I ignored him a sat down in the grass and rested back enjoying the scene.
"So...what are you up too?" I decided to say to break the awkward silence between us.
"Oh I don't know! What does it look like I'm doing?!" Dionysus angrily yet sarcastically answered.
Exhaling, I chose to leave the garden and leave him and his anger issues alone. Looking at the flowers, I pondered towards Artemis, who was sitting by an old, elm tree, a feeling in my stomach rose to my heart, confidence and anxiety. Hopefully she was actually friendly unlike Dionysus, that expired purple grape. (😤🤜🍇)"Hey, Artemis, mind if I sit here?" I asked, admiring her luscious, silky silvery hair.
"Oh, no I don't mind!" she smiled, my heart froze with panic and love, her smile was extraordinary.
I felt idiotic, I was a fan girl for a 4000 year old goddess that was way out of my league.
Gratefully, I sat down, hoping to start a conversation and bond with her, maybe I could get a chance to ask her out, well definitely not today, especially because it was my first.*one week later*
Today was officially the point where I have been a goddess for a whole week! Obviously, Dionysus was still being an annoying rotten grape. (We both avoid each other now) All I have been doing in Olympus is just sitting my butt down in the gardens and doing ABSOLUTELY nothing! BORING! Fortunately, me and Artemis had started a friendship (😍💃) and it was going really well, no one tried to interfere, or ruin anything, and Artemis was especially surprised that Apollo (Artemis' annoying twin brother) hasn't bothered us yet. I strolled through the corridor of Olympus and saw Zeus talking to Poseidon on his throne, I quickly hid behind a pillar to see if I could hear anything.
"Brother, if she must leave. Then she has too, you mustn't argue with the fates." Poseidon calmly said.
"I know, but she has only been a goddess for a week!" that's when I instantly knew this conversation was about me. "It's too dangerous, I can't let her just walk into death!" Zeus argued.
Confused, I decided to reveal myself by walking down the hallway and almost instantly getting noticed by them both.
"Ah, Selene! Hello, we have an important matter to talk to you about," Poseidon explained, shifting in his throne to face me.
I questioned whether I should confront them or play dumb, I chose the first option, "Is it about that conversation you were having about me having to leave Olympus because of the 'fates'?"
Poseidon and Zeus both were shook, they made eye contact for a second then stared back at me.
"Uh, how did you know we were talking about that...?" Zeus asked, with a surprisingly shaky voice.
Rolling my eyes, I responded, "I heard you two obviously!"Poseidon clicked his tongue and slowly raised from his throne, and carefully walked off like nothing happened. So again, it was me and Zeus, in another awkward quietness, this time I stopped it, "So? Go on, explain yourself and why I have to leave,"
Zeus hesitated, then sighed and he was about to start speaking when Apollo ran on and yelled, "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! GRAB YOUR WEAPONS AND CHARGE!"
We both just glared at Apollo, then we started rushing to get some weapon, Zeus whispered next to me, "Take this bow and arrow, this will be your weapon, Hephaestus specially designed it for you."Gods were sprinting all around us, grabbing weapons, strapping armour, and rushing out the entrance. "POSITIONS!" Zeus bellowed, startling me. Then together, we charged forwards.
