Tricia's POV
You were peacefully settled on your bed, reading the legend of Daragang Magayon. You carefully read the passage, trying to understand what your mama meant days ago. You were startled when your phone began to ring.
"ate Aiks"
You put the book down and answer your ate's call, switching it to a video call to see your family, hoping you might catch a glimpse of Y/N in the background.
"Hi Patty. Andito na kami sa reception, farmhouse siya ang ganda oh. Tignan mo." Ate Aika switched the cam and toured you around the place. You were utterly captivated by the fairy lights and the rustic vibe of the farmhouse. You envied your family who was able to attend the wedding, wishing that you were also there, enjoying with them and Y/N.
"Ang ganda no ate Pat?" Jill butted in as she invaded ate Aika's personal space to talk to you. You laughed as you saw how she suddenly appeared on the camera. "Asan si mama?" You asked, eyebrows furrowed.
"Kausap sina Paula and the groom. You know, doing the ninang's duty." Ate Aika said. "Well Y/N is busy with her cousins, pupuntahan namin mamaya." She focused the camera on where Y/N was sitting and saw someone new sitting beside her. Your stomach dropped, someone unfamiliar to you, a foreboding feeling about the woman beside Y/N.
"Ate, sino yung katabi ni Y/N?" You asked, trying to keep your cool. "Actually di ko din kilala. So far, kilala ko pa naman mga cousins niya but she's a complete stranger to me. Meron ba na ikwento sayo Jill si Y/N?" Ate Aika softly asked.
Jill shook her head, "Sorry mga ate. Pero no idea din ako. Wala naman nakwento sa akin si ate Y/N. But we'll know later kapag pumunta na tayo kay ate Y/N."
You sighed in defeat, being eaten by the dread you felt when you saw some unknown woman getting comfortable with Y/N. You tried not to overthink it, but you couldn't help it. Tears start to gather in your eyes, so you decide to finish talking with your siblings.
"Ahh. Magstastart pa lang ba?" You questioned, discreetly wiping away your tears and reaching out for the coffee you had prepared earlier. Jill nodded in response as she looked at her watch, checking the time. "Wala ba kayo ganap tonight ate dyan? It's 6PM na and looking at you, para ang plano mo lang tumambay sa bed mo." She cheekily said as ate Aika laughed. You rolled your eyes at your sister, "We'll have a dinner party later, hinihintay ko lang na tumawag kayo."
"Kami nga ba gusto mo makita or si...." Ate Aika teased you. "Ateeeee" You whined in response.
"Hahaha sige na Patty, magprepare ka na dyan. The program will start na, and mama is giving us the look na." She continued. Ate Aika switched the camera again so that you could see where your mama was.
"Fine. Fine." You muttered. "Have fun there... Ingat kayo dyan." You smiled at your sisters, who did the same. "Ingat din kayo dyan ni Ralph. Enjoy the night, okay Patty?" You nodded. "Bye ate. We love you." It was the last thing you heard from Jill before ending the call.
You threw away your phone and sighed in frustration. You were looking forward to seeing Y/N, even if it was through your family in a video call, but it seems like the universe has other plans. You glanced at the clock and decided that you'll try to enjoy the night with Ralph and your Ateneo friends rather than sulk throughout the night while Y/N thoroughly enjoyed hers.

Y/N POV
"She hit me. She suddenly smacked my head." You began to tell your cousins, pouting as you recalled the memory of going to the cemetery. Erika couldn't help but laugh at you, remembering how shocked you were that day.
