Never in your wildest dream that you'll end up in this situation. You swore to yourself that you would not end up like this. Yet, you've been suffocating for the past 10 months, wondering if the legendary Doc. Janine Patricia Gerona Robredo, 2nd daughter of our beloved VP Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo, ever truly love you from the beginning.

You sighed and flopped yourself to your bed. You kept staring at the ceiling, thinking about how your relationship with Tricia had changed. "Where is she anyway? Her shift ended 2 hours ago, yet she still hasn't arrived in our condo", you wondered. You check your phone in case she sent you a message but alas, no messages nor calls. It's already 11 pm, and you have no idea where your girlfriend is.

With only the moon as a source of your light in your dark bedroom, you closed your eyes, silently willing the tears away while looking back to your fond memories with Tricia.

"Looooooooooove!!!!" Tricia excitedly shouts your name while running towards you at the airport.

You opened your arms and waited until you two collided to hug her so tight after a 1-week business trip in London. Vanilla and lavender scent engulfed your senses, and you buried your nose in her hair, "I miss you so much, my love. Aking tahanan, I'm home", you muttered while inhaling her scent.

"I miss you too, love, so much every day you were away," Tricia whispered. She slowly let go of the hug and kissed both your cheeks, forehead, nose, and lips. "I love you Y/N" ¸ Tricia said after breaking the kiss.

You felt the tips of your ear heating up from her sweet gestures. "I love you too, my tahanan", and you kissed her again and smiled.

"Let's go home na Love. Everyone is waiting for you in our condo", Tricia excitedly drags you to the exit so you both can go home to your family.

You bitterly smile while remembering how much you both hate to part ways with each other, even if it is work-related.

You went to the hospital where Tricia is working. You haven't seen each other for over a month because of the pandemic. The hospital protocol requires the doctors to stay in the hospital for a month, so you opt to bring her food to surprise her.

You started dialing her number. Ring...ring...ring... "come on, Trish, pick-up", you thought.

"Love? Hello, is something the matter? You don't usually call around this time", Tricia wondered

"Hi love, sorry for the sudden call, but there's food delivery waiting outside the hospital, just before the main entrance. Can you pick it up right now?", You sheepishly asked her.

"Sure, no problem naman. Saglit lang naman ata since meron pa ako patient. Is it grab or foodpanda ba?", Tricia asked you. "Maybe she's thinking na isa dun sa dalawa hehehe... No idea talalga to girlfriend ko." You thought.

"You'll know when you get there naman love. I think it's the only delivery during this time, so no pressure looking for it", You teasingly answered her.

"Looooove naman. I need clue kasi. Mamaya nyan meron dumating na ibang delivery eh nagkamali pa tuloy ako. Sige ka, I will end this call na", Tricia cutely whined to you over the phone.

"Masyado naman madrama ang girlfriend ko. Hurry up na kasi para makuha mo na yung food. Knowing you, di ka pa kumakain during your shift. Malapit ka na ba?", you asked her while imagining her pouting in the hospital hallway.

"Chill love. Ground floor na ako. It's not like ikaw yung magdedeliver ng food ko eh. I miss you so much already. I want to go home na", Tricia whined again to you

"I know love. Just 3 more days, yeah? Kaya mo yan", you told her

"Luh, wala man lang I miss you too love. Ge, lods, I'll end this call na since palabas na ako sa entrance. Bye", Tricia coldly replied and abruptly ended the call.

"hahahaha annoyed na naman si doc. Ano ba yan girlfriend ko. Kung di ko lang talaga to mahal na mahal", You mused while patiently wait for her to arrive.

Since you're the only one outside the hospital, Tricia immediately went to you and tapped your shoulder because you have your back turned away and you are currently wearing your hoodie, so she has no idea that it is her girlfriend. You faced her and excitedly shouted "Surpriiiiissse!!" and engulfed her in a warm embrace. Being the crybaby she is, Tricia buried her face to your neck and inhaled your scent while crying, "Love...*hiccup*I...miss...*hiccup*you". You gently rubbed her back and whispered, "I love you Tricia Robredo" again and again until she calmed down. After a minute of crying and hugging, she finally calmed down, and you released her from the hug to finally give her the food you brought. "Here love, I know how much you miss my cooking na hehehe. Dapat hindi nagpapagutom ang baby ko, so ubusin mo to lahat ha. All your favorites are there naman.", You cheekily told Tricia while handing over the ecobag full of food. "I do miss your cooking, but I miss you more, so much more. I miss my tahanan. Sana matapos agad to 3 days para I can finally go home to you", Tricia pouted. "Don't worry love, 3 days will passby quickly. Cheer up na yan love ko. Need mo na rin bumalik sa loob since alam ko marami kayo patients dahil sa pandemic." You told he. "Yes po love. Balik na ako ha. Take care pauwi. Message me agad kapag nasa condo ka na or kung asan ka, okay? I love you so much Y/N." Tricia said and immediately kiss you and run back to the hospital main entrance with the food you brought. You shouted, "I love you Doc. Janine Patricia Robredo, in this lifetime and the next." And waved goodbye to her when she was already inside the hospital.

The two of you were perfectly happy, but things changed though. You have no idea when, where, what or why it happened, but your relationship slowly changed and became cold and distant. For the past 10 months, you have tried to fight for your relationship, but it seems like you're the only one making an effort. So, you chose to hide your pain and continue to interact with ate Aika, Jill and Tita Leni like you're not on the verge of breaking down. But you cannot bear it any longer, and you feel helpless. Rejection hurts but this, whatever is happening between you and Tricia, couldn't continue anymore. You wiped away your tears, and with a deep sigh, you tried to contact Tricia before you proceeded to fix your clothes and luggage.

Ring...ring...ring...Sorry the person you are trying to reach is currently unattended. *beep*

"huh, I guess that's it. So much for our I love yous and promises. From How are you to How have you been?", you bitterly thought. You immediately pack your clothes into your luggage and put them in another room so you can quickly leave tomorrow. After making sure that all your clothes were prep, you immediately returned to your bed so you could finally sleep while wondering what time Tricia would arrive.
