"I have noticed that,
if you look carefully
at people's eyes,
the first five seconds
they look at you,
the truth of their feelings
will shine through,
for just an instant
before it flickers away."

Jungkook's POV

I thanked the heavens when I finally got my shirt back. As I had mentioned to hyungs too, I booked the earliest flight to Korea. It was 4 hours later so I went back to the airport to wait.

I went in the waiting room and took my place. The room was mostly silent and the most audible voice was of the TV anchor presenting news. I plugged in my earphones, and clicked on some random movie on Netflix. Somewhere in the middle, when the movie got boring, I glanced up at the TV screen and surprisingly found my picture being displayed.

It was a news of the new single that I had released. I took out my earphones to hear what the anchor was saying.

"Yeah, I do. But...but what if this person was not just an idol for me?" A voice that I hadn't heard for 2 years said airily, faint, soft, walking on clouds. I froze.

The world had gone silent, and the voice still echoed in my ears. I turned around and the way the adrenaline rushed and my heartbeat quickened, my body almost gave out.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything felt so unreal that I almost cried.

She sat there, her hair a bit messy and her eyes tired, but still bright. She looked more mature yet still so young, so beautiful. As I remembered.

In that moment, I realised that even after all this time, she still had my world revolving around her.

She was talking to an old couple and after they had left, she switched to a phone call. She picked up her luggage and went outside, still on the phone.

I grabbed my bag and followed her hurriedly, even though my legs shook.

She united with a girl and after exchanging a few words, they both entered a taxi. I myself got into one and asked the driver to follow her car.

He started driving only after he was ensured of the fact that I was not some creepy stalker.

Even with taxi in full air conditioning, I was sweating.

After almost an hour ride, the taxi in front of us stopped. The other girl got off and the taxi restarted. Ten minutes later, it stopped again. Taraa got off and the driver helped her with her luggage. I too got off at a distance good enough for her to not see me, and paid my driver, thanking him.

The two taxis went in different directions. She entered the gate, crossed a pavement, unlocked the door and holding her luggage, went inside the house. It was a brick red house with gable roof and had that vintage look to it. There was a small garden that filled the space between the outside wall and the house. It looked pretty from outside and it would be the same from inside too. It was hers, it ought to be pretty.

I didn't know what to do. I still hadn't processed the whole situation.

No matter how badly I wanted to call the hyungs to tell them that I had found her finally, I didn't. Not until I had talked to her.
