"You were there for me through all the times I cried
I was there for you and then I lost my mind
I know that I messed up but I promise I
Oh-oh, I can make it right"

Taraa's POV

I got up with a slight headache that was nothing new for me on a rainy day. Somewhere during the middle of the night, the rain had stopped but it was pouring again now. That too, quite heavily.

I got out of the bed and after freshening myself up, checked the messages.

"Yes! Yes!" I jumped up, seeing the message from our CEO that we would be having just an online meeting today due to the heavy rain and there was no need to go to office. The company that I worked at was a start-up, hence the CEO was also like our team member.

But then sudden realisation dawned upon me that I would have to stay the whole day with Jungkook. I whined loudly.

I exited my room and upon entering the kitchen, I saw Jungkook already in there, apron tied around his waist, handling two stoves and a toaster at one time with intense focus. I smiled and then mentally slapped myself.

He turned around and his eyes widened.

"Ah! You're up? Breakfast is almost ready. Please wait a few minutes." he said.

Without saying anything, I started setting the table. A few seconds later, he came holding two mugs of tea in his both hands.

He sat down opposite me and spreading butter on toast, slided it towards me. I wondered if he still remembered that I always want bread, butter and a hot cup of tea on such a rainy day or he had prepared it just because there wasn't anything much in my refrigerator. I refrained myself from asking him.

"You will get late if you eat that slowly." he commented.

"I don't have to go to office today." I stated. His face brightened at that and I gulped.

"Why?"

"Its raining too much. We will have an online meeting." I answered.

"I see."

A long pause.

"Taraa...I...please let me explain. I never intended to do what I did. Listen to me once, plea-"

"You should have done so when I was willing to listen. Do you even remember how I had begged you to explain it?" I cut him off as I didn't want to make my headache worse early in the morning by listening to him. "Its been two fucking years, Jungkook. Let's not talk about it." I said.

"And I have tried to find you for all these two years, wanting to explain myself." he muttered. "You were never like this. You always used to listen to me. To everyone."

"People change, Jungkook. You, out of all the people, must know that very well." I said.

The rest of the breakfast was silent as neither of us tried to strike up any conversation. I picked up the dirty dishes and washed them. I then went back to my room, and plugging in my earphones, joined the meeting.
