Taraa's POV
I was in the kitchen with my mother, preparing some snacks. I could hear faint talks and soft laughter coming from the drawing room, which made me smile. I guess the males in the house were having a nice time with each other.
I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I didn't notice my brother coming in the kitchen. I let out a low shriek when he suddenly pinched me on my stomach.
"ARE you crazy?" I whisper-yelled, as I rubbed my stomach where he had pinched.
"No, but you definitely are. Who smiles to oneself like that?" he said.
Just when I was going to say something, my mother interrupted us.
"C'mon kids. No fights in the kitchen. Ryan, don't annoy her today atleast." my mother said with a shake of her head.
"Only today." he said as he walked out of the kitchen. I engaged myself again in the work.
But letting one's guard down is never a good idea.
Because soon after, that brat pinched me again. Although this time I was able to give him a hard punch on his back before he ran out of the kitchen.
If he dares to come once more...
After a few minutes, I heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen.
Oh, this guy...
"If you dare to step in the kitchen again, I will beat the hell out of you. Brat." I threatened loudly so he could hear.
"Why? What did I do?" a voice asked. I turned my head instantly at the voice which was definitely not my brother's.
Suga.
"Oh! Suga-ssi. It's you. I thought it was my brother." I explained myself. He chuckled lightly at this, making my heart beat faster. "By the way, what brings you here?" I asked.
"I just came to know if I can help with anything here." he suggested, as he scratched the back of his head.
"No, it's okay. Everything's almost done." I replied.
He nodded with a small smile and left the kitchen.
With the help of my brother, I set the snacks at the table in the drawing room.
(A/N: These are the snacks I thought about👇.)
"WOAHH!!" they exclaimed, eyeing the different types of snacks with interest.
"Do you think you have ever tried an Indian snack?" my mother asked curiously.
They all shook their heads with a sheepish smile.
"Then please try it." I said, slightly moving the dishes towards them.
When none of them moved a muscle, I looked at them in confusion, and raised my eyebrows.
"How are we supposed to eat this?" V asked with an innocent face pointing to one of the snacks.
I chuckled at this. Of course they wouldn't know how to eat it. So I showed them the correct way. After all, food tastes best if eaten the correct way.
Soon after, everyone began serving themselves while constantly complimenting about how good it was.
"This is freaking delicious!" Hobi said, as he put the spicy snack into his mouth.
"Then surely you haven't tried this yet!" V said, as he put a bite of his dish in Hobi's mouth.
I was quite nervous before because of the differences in tastes of our countries. But seeing them enjoying and laughing like this, a great sense of happiness overtook me.
Guess they really liked it. Well, after all, my mother's cooking was no joke.
"It's coffee?" Suga asked, when he took a sip of beverage from his cup.
"No, it's actually tea. I believe it's different from Korea?" I said.
"Yeah, but it's amazing." he replied and started sipping the tea fondly.
When everyone had finished eating, I started picking up the empty dishes to take it back to the kitchen. Taehyung also stood up and picked some of the dishes.
"I can manage, it's okay." I said, trying to stop him. But I gave up when he didn't put the dishes down, despite my protests. So he ended up following me to the kitchen.
I put the dishes in the sink and turned around to take the rest of them from Taehyung.
As he handed the dishes to me, his fingers accidentally brushed slightly against mine. But it was enough for my poor heart to start beating furiously.
Shit!
I gulped and tried to calm my racing heart.
Calm down! It was nothing. Why are you freaking so much? Ok, ok calm down.
"Are you okay?" Taehyung asked me suddenly, coming closer towards me.
"Y-Yeah. Perfect. I think I need to drink water." I said and moved towards the fridge to take out the bottle. I poured the water in the glass and drank it at once.
"Let's go back." Taehyung said and smiled. I nodded and followed him out of the kitchen to join the others.
"Do you guys want to look around the house?" my father suggested. "I mean, why don't you show them your crafts?" he said looking at me.
"Seriously, it's not that great." I said, a little embarrassed.
"I want to see it." Jimin said with excitement laced in his voice as he got up from his place.
Seeing him, the other members also got up and followed me to look around the house with excitement.
