Some minutes earlier...

Serena was sitting down at a table in the cafeteria, chatting with Dawn, May, and Chloe, when She heard a very familiar sound.

"Prepare for trouble, you don't have a clue!"

"And make it double, we ate all your food!"

As the rest of the motto played out, Serena looked to Dawn, May and Chloe.

"Seriously? They followed Ash here, too?" Chloe said, sweatdroping.

"We can at least give them points for dedication," Dawn noted dryly.

"We should probably head over and try to help," Serena said.

"Right," said May.

The four of them stood up right as Ash said, "Team Rocket!"

They walk-jogged over to behind the counter where Ash and Team Rocket were. There, they met Gary, Goh, and Drew. Chloe was bout to ask Goh a question, but thought it was probably best to wait given their situation.

A boy who Serena didn't know spoke up. "Team Rocket! You losers are still following Ashy-boy around?! Don't you have anything better to do with you lives?"

The trio pondered this. "Well, now that you mention it, we have spent a good chunk of our lives chasing one pokemon," James said.

"Yeah, but it'll just make it all the sweeter when we finally capture it! Besides, it's not like we have anything better to do with our time. And if The Boss pays us to get Pikachu, we'll get him Pikachu!" Jessie replied.

"Jessie's wright! Sure, we mighta been chasin' Pikachu for yearhs, but I wouldn't a twaded it fawr not'in!"

"Wobbafett!"

Serena's eyes flicked to Wobbafett when it spoke, so she didn't notice James grabbing a device. By the time she did, Pikachu was already in the capsule. "Electricity proof, of course!" James added.

"Pikachu!" Serena's eyes turned to Ash. He was visibly angry and was about to grab a pokeball. At the same time though, James had been saying something. Serena wasn't listening because she was focused on Ash, but she wished she had been when a net landed on top of all of them. Especially when it electrocuted her.

Serena had never gotten hit with one of Pikachu's thunderbolts. In fact, she had never gotten electrocuted before in her life. Before, she had always assumed Pikachu's thunderbolts weren't that painful, since Ash endured them practically daily. However, electricity actually hurt quite a lot, and Serena was completly unprepared for it. The world quickly started turning black, and the last thing Serena saw before she blacked out was Ash trying to escape the net.

---***---***---***---

"Serena!?" Serena heard a voice calling her name.

"Ugnn..." Why does my head hurt? Oh, Team Rocket! She slowly opened her eyes.

She then realised Ash was holding her. His right arm was around her waist, and he was holding her left hand with his while looking down on her worriedly. Serena turned beet red. Her heart was pounding out of her chest. He's so close! And he's holding me!

"Are you all right, Serena?" He asked, concerned.

Serena snapped out of it. "Er-yeah! I'm fine!" She said, putting her weight on her own two feet.

"Good! I'm glad you're all right." Ash smiled and released her from his embrace.

"Thanks." Serena put on a fake smile. She would never admit it to anyone, including herself, but she hadn't wanted him to let her go just yet.
