Vol. 2 Ch. 11 Feelings

Ruby's POV

I ran to Team AMBR's dorm and knocked on the door. Ray answered it and said, "Oh, hey, Ruby. Need something?" I took a deep breath and said, "I need to talk to Ace." Ray nodded and said, "Well, he's not in here right now. But I can let him know that you wanted to talk to him when he gets back." I shook my head and replied, "No, it can't wait. Do you know where he is?" Ray thought about it for a second before he answered and said, "I think he had said something about going to the music room or something like that." I nodded and said, "Thanks, Ray!" Then I rushed to the music room and found it empty except for one of the practice rooms, which had its door closed and a light on inside. I could hear some music playing inside and then I heard Ace begin to sing.

As he finished singing, I began thinking to myself, Does Ace have feelings for me as well?

Ace's POV

Once I had finished singing, I sighed and said aloud, "I just wish I could have the chance to tell you how I feel, Ruby." I let out another sigh and stood up from the chair. I opened the door to the practice room I was in and exited the room. As soon as I had exited the practice room, I immediately saw Ruby standing there and I froze. I looked at her and said, "R-Ruby? How long have you been there?" She smiled and said, "I walked in just as you started singing that song. I wanted to talk with you in private." I nodded and said, "We can talk in the practice room if you want, just in case someone else walks in." Ruby nodded and we both went into the practice room. I closed the door and we both sat down in the two chairs in there. We faced each other and I said, "Can I ask you something first?" She nodded and I said, "What did I do? Whatever it was, I'm truly sorry." Ruby placed her hands on mine and said, "Don't be. It wasn't your fault, it was mine." Then Ruby explained to me what had happened, from her seeing me hugging Coco, to misunderstanding the meaning behind it, to avoiding me without hearing my side of the story.

When she finished explaining everything, I spoke up and said, "That makes sense now. But why did it hurt you so much?" Ruby blushed a bit and said, "Because I think I like you. I mean I like like you." I blushed slightly myself and replied, "I feel the same way about you, Rubes." She smiled as I asked, "Ruby Rose, will you go out with me?" She hugged me tightly and said, "Yes! Yes! Yes! Does that mean that we're boyfriend and girlfriend now?" I nodded and said, "Yes. Yes, it does." She pulled out of the hug and looked at me. Then she asked hesitantly, "C-can we k-kiss?" I smiled warmly and said, "If you want to. It would be my first kiss." Ruby blushed and said, "Mine too." I looked into her beautiful silver eyes and said, "So, you're sure you want us to kiss?" She nodded and I leaned forward, towards her, as I gently cupped her cheek and pulled Ruby in for a kiss. The kiss felt absolutely wonderful and perfect, and we both melted into it. When we pulled away, Ruby touched her hand to her lips and said, "Wow. I never knew how wonderful it would be to kiss someone." I smirked and said, "Neither did I. But it still felt perfect." She nodded and said, "Hey, Ace?" I looked at her and replied, "Yes, Rubes?" She looked at me a bit nervous and said, "Can you tell me how you lost your hand?"
