Ace's POV

My team and I were sitting next to Ruby and her team in the Colosseum as we watched the next couple matches. After Team JNPR won their match, the next match was between Team NDGO of Shade and Team SSSN. When the random picker landed on ocean, I heard one of members of Team NDGO say, "Hey! The ocean!" Neptune turned and said, "Huh?" Then Neptune froze in place and Ruby said, "Uhh, what's wrong with Neptune?" Blake replied, "Oh, no. Neptune's... afraid of the water." I chuckled lightly at the irony in that before I focused back on the match.

When the match was over, with Team SSSN as the winner, Ruby leaned back in her seat and sighed as she said, "Aw, that was so close!" I smirked as I ruffled her hair and Yang said, "Looks like the dorks made it to the next round!" Blake looked down in the arena where Sun and Neptune were dancing like fools before the fellow Faunus gave her a special double-gun gesture with a wink, eliciting a blush and a small smile from his target, who said, "Emphasis on 'dork'." Over the sound system, Oobleck said, "That concludes the matches for today. Please leave the Colosseum IN A CALM AND ORDERLY FASHION!" After we all stopped flinching from the unexpected volume change, Yang said, "Come on, let's go congratulate 'em." The eight of us got up from our seats and we started to head out just as some aircraft with elegant ribbons flying from its wings passed over the Colosseum, which caused Weiss to stop in her tracks and Ruby and I to bounce into her. Ruby spoke up and said to Weiss, "Uh, what are you viewing?" Looking up at the craft with a strange expression and strain in her voice, Weiss replied, "She's here!" Ruby ran after Weiss, with me following Ruby, until we reached the docking bays.

When we got there, Ruby and I both noticed a woman, who looked a lot like an older version of Weiss, being escorted by crimson-colored Atlas Soldiers and Atlesian Knight-200's as she exited her airship. Ruby looked at Weiss and said, "Weiss! What is the big deal!? Who is it? Who is she!?" Weiss stopped and smiled at the sight of the person as she said, "Winter." Ruby looked at Weiss and said, "Wait... Your sister?" Weiss cupped her mouth and called out, "Winter!" The three of us then ran up to the elder Schnee as she turned to see us and Weiss said, "Winter! I'm so happy to see you! Oh..." Weiss suddenly curtsied and said, "Your presence honors us." Winter looked around she she approached us and said, "Beacon... It's been a long time. The air feels... different." Ruby replied and said, "I mean it is fall, so, eh, it's probably colder." Weiss punched Ruby in the shoulder, causing her to gasp in pain, before she turned back to her sibling and asked, "So, what are you doing here?" Winter answered and said, "Classified." Weiss replied and said, "Oh, right. Well, how long are you staying?" Winter answered again, "Classified." Weiss nodded and said, "Of course." Ruby looked pensively around in the silence and said, "Well... this is nice... I think." Weiss said excitedly, "You're going to love it here! I know you travel a lot, but so much of Beacon is different from Atlas! Vale, too. The government and school are completely separate! Can you believe it!? I─" Weiss was cut off by Winter saying, "I'm more than familiar with how this kingdom handles its... bureaucracy. That is not why I came."

Weiss replied and said, "Right! I'm sorry!" Winter added, "Nor did I come here to watch my own blood fail so miserably in battle. But it appears that I have no choice in the matter." Weiss looked puzzled and said, "But, we won!" Winter replied, "Only a novice would refer to that as a victory. I counted at least three strikes missed." Winter turned to her guards and said, "Leave us."

The AK-200s obeyed, walking two steps backwards into formation as she sighed and smiled a little more warmly at Weiss, and asked, "How have you been?" Weiss replied, "Oh, splendid! Thank you for asking. I'm actually in the very top ranking of our sparring class! And the rest of my studies are going wonderfully, too! I'm─" Weiss was cut off by Winter slapping her across the face and saying, "Silence, you boob! I don't recall asking about your ranking, I'm asking how you've been. Are you eating properly? Have you taken up any hobbies? Are you making new friends?"
