Ray, Bella, and I got back to Vale after we finished our mission together. I turned to Ray and Bella and said, "It was great to go on a mission with you two. Ruby and I will see you in about 2 months for my nephew's birthday." They nodded and headed towards a Bullhead heading for Mistral, while I got on one heading to the island of Patch. A little over 8 years ago, Bella had given birth to a baby boy that they named after her brother. Both Ray and Bella had insisted that I be Mason's honorary uncle because of how close we were. And of course, I accepted, which also made Ruby his aunt.
When the Bullhead finally landed, I made my way back to Ruby and I's house. It was the same house that my parents had left me. I opened the door and heard the my 8-year-old daughter's voice say, "Daddy, you're home!" I saw my daughter, Summer, run up to me and jump into my arms. When I had offered to name her after Ruby's mom, Ruby was more than happy to agree. Summer had my blue hair with some bit of red on the ends, but she had her mother's silver eyes. I picked her up and said, "Hey there, my little Rose Petal. Where's Mommy at?" Summer smiled and said, "Mommy's sleeping on the couch with little brother." I smiled and said, "Thank you, Sweetie." Then I kissed her on the forehead and set her down. I went into the living room and saw my beautiful pregnant wife, Ruby, sleeping peacefully on the couch.

I smiled as I leaned over and gave Ruby a gentle kiss on her cheek. She smiled as she woke up and said, "Oh, hey, Ace. How'd the mission go?" I smirked and said, "It wasn't too bad. It was actually rather nice to fight Grimm with Ray and Bella. It felt like the old days. Though, it would've been better if you were there. So how's our son doing?" Ruby smiled and said, "He's a tough cookie like his father." I smiled and said, "And I bet he'll be just as stubborn. Have you thought of any names yet?" Ruby nodded and said, "What about Jason? After your dad?" I looked at Ruby in shock and said, "Really? You want to name him after my dad?" She nodded and said, "Yes. I mean we named our daughter after my mom, so why not?" I smiled and gave my wife a hug as I said, "Thank you, Rosebud." She smiled and said, "I love you, Ace Dodger." I smirked and said, "I love you too, Ruby Dodger."
