3rd Person POV
Nora said, "I'm just sayin'..." Nora and Ren emerged from behind a tree, walking together as Nora continued, "...there's more members of JNPR in this team than RWBY. It just makes sense to go with that one." Ren replied, "But 'junior' isn't a color. And what about Ace?" Groaning, Nora said, "How can I be more clear? One, two, three. That's more than one. And Ace said that he didn't care." Ren replied, "But we're helping Ruby with her objective." Behind him, Jaune was crouched down, watching something, as Ren continued, "Wouldn't that make her the leader?" Jaune called out, "Guys!" Ren and Nora turn their heads toward him as Jaune said, "We need to focus. Also, JNRR is way cooler." Nora responded in agreement, "Exactly!" Ren went to speak, but instead just groaned. There was a rumble, to which Jaune replied, "It's here."
The scene changed to Ruby flying backwards from trees, firing Crescent Rose in the direction she came from. A collection of floating boulders with a Grimm mask moved the trees aside, clearly chasing her. Ruby fell, crashing against tree limbs along the way as she said, "Bad... landing... strategy!" Ruby landed on her feet on a big tree branch strong enough to hold her weight. She used her Semblance to fly past the Grimm. Few gunshots were heard as Ace fired Equinox and Blitz at the Grimm. Jaune, Ren, and Nora looked up as Jaune said, "Let's get that thing off them." Jaune ran toward them while Ren jumped up into the trees as Nora said, "Don't forget me!" Then Nora pulled out Magnhild and shoots it at the ground, propelling herself into the air with excited whooping. She landed right besides Ren in his branch as he said, "We need to draw its attention away from Ruby and Ace." As a stream of rose petals, Ruby flew past them and said, "Could use some help!" Nora and Ace both shot the Grimm in the back. Ren hopped around on branches. The Grimm tried to hit Ren. Ren ran up its rock arm, flew into the air, and came down upon the Grimm, striking at it with StormFlower, but it was ineffective. The five of them continued to attack and fight off the Grimm until they finally managed to kill it. Jaune was breathing heavily, before he posed with his hands on hips and said, "Another victory for Team JNRR!" Deflating after a moment of silence, Jaune said, "Yeah, okay. Ren, I think you're onto something. I-it's just not sounding great anymore."
Ace's POV
As we arrived back at the village, the mayor came over to us and looked at us hopeful as he said, "Well?" I smirked and said, "We came, we saw, we kicked its ass." Ruby smiled as she tried to hold back a giggle. The mayor looked relieved as he said, "We truly can't thank you enough." Ruby replied, "Just doing our job, sir." The mayor responded, "That Geist had been plaguing our village for weeks. We were beginning to wonder if we'd have to relocate." Ruby then said, "Well, we are on our way to Mistral. You could always come along with us if you don't feel safe." Amused, the mayor replied, "Ha. I take it you're not from these parts. Anima is a large continent. I'm afraid our people would never survive the long trek to Mistral. It may be safer in the Kingdoms, but we prefer our way of life. I just wish we could pay you more." Ren answered, "Our previous arrangement is more than sufficient."
The rest of us bowed respectfully. We entered into a shop as a burly man with horns set down a set of armor at the counter and said, "There you go, son. It's going to be heavier than what you're used to, but you'll thank me the next time you go up against a set of claws." Jaune replied to the blacksmith, "Wow. That-eh. I don't know what to say." The blacksmith answered and said, "Don't gotta say anything! Just put it on! I'll go get the rest." The Faunus blacksmith turned and went out back. Then Nora said, "So, what are you waiting for?" Jaune replied, "Oh, uh, right!" Then he took off his old chestplate as he said softly, "Guess I was going to grow out of it eventually." Ren replied, "A sign of progress." Jaune repeated the last part, "Progress." Once Jaune turned around, Ruby gasped then covered her mouth and tried not to giggle. Confused, Jaune said, "What is it?"
