harlee's pov:
thursday morning

this morning I woke up from my mom singing in the kitchen, her voice echoing throughout the house.

"what the hell?" I mumbled to myself.

I rolled over checking my phone and my most recent notification was from 'unknown'.

I unlocked my phone to see what javon had texted me.

unknown: I hope you enjoyed last night have a good day

I felt my heart flutter a little from the message.

why harlee?

me: I did thanks again. what's your cashapp?

unknown: harlee.
unknown: so do we have a deal?

yhup harlee. javon walton definitely went out of his way because he genuinely wanted to.

I should've known.

me: forgot that's the only reason you were bothering me

unknown: no it's not
unknown: you're a girl who I actually want to get to know

me: oh

unknown: I just need to know so I won't get my hopes up

I sat resting my neck against my headboard. it was still too early for me to function and process what was really going on.

I mean.. what's the worst that could happen.

if all else fails I could just keep these messages ensuring it was just a deal.

me: sure

unknown: REALLY?

me: yea
me: but there's two rules

unknown: ok what are they

me: we only do this at school no where else

unknown: AND at school functions cause that's basically school yk

me: whatever
me: nobody can know

unknown: obviously captain obvious

me: stfu

unknown: so we have a deal??

me: deal

unknown: see you at school babe ;)

I sighed deeply before pushing my comforter off of me and going to get ready for school.

12:30

I walked out of the cafeteria making my way over to the vending machines.

my eyes scanned over the plastic barrier trying to decide which snack I wanted.

chips, candy, honeybuns.
