Chapter 39

Voice

"Flight attendants, prepare for landing please. Cabin crew, please take your seats for landing."

Waking up by the sound of the pilot's unclear yet loud voice from the plane's speaker, announcing that the plane's arrival and was about to land, followed by the announcement of the flight attendant.

"Sir and ma'am, Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport welcomes you here, a suburb, in the Inner-South of Sydney, Mascot, New South Wales, Australia. The local time is 22:05. For your safety, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened and keep the aisles clear until we are parked at the gate."

I was still on the comfort of my seat, with a knitted cream coloured blanket securely wrapped around my body, it felt like it was a protection, protecting me and my baby somehow.

My senses automatically came back shot in every corner of my whole system when I heard the location and time.

Sydney, Australia? 22:05? That's 10:05pm. How many hours was the flight time duration? I was asleep.

Wait, what?

Ella, Aunt Leonor? Is in Sydney, Australia?

The thought of it made me shock, I bet Ella had enjoyed herself here, a perfect tourist spot. She loves luxurious and expensive things, vlogging was her main dish in the morning.

And then Jhulix rescued them?

No, I should stop stressing myself from overthinking about someone that I left in Rome. What and who's in Rome should remain in Rome, period. Not even letting it trespass my mind.

Shifting my gaze on the opposite side of where I was still currently and comfortably sitting, my sleepy eyes found Jhulix where I had last seen him before I drifted off to sleep.

Specifically, it was an atelier single-gusset brown leather briefcase.

"May sasabihin ako."

"Hm? Ano 'yon?" I asked as I was busy securing myself on my seat by fastening my seatbelt.

I raised my gaze at him before smiling genuinely when I found him watching me fastening my seatbelt like he was examining my every move.
