Chapter 17

"Damien? We're running out of spices, tapos 'yong milk ko, last na 'yong kahapon."
"I'll tell my men to buy it," he said that was marked with finalization.
Stalking toward him, leaving the fridge, I plopped my elbows on the opposite side of the kitchen island where I was facing the back part of his laptop, facing him.
"Nope, I'll be going to a grocery store here with Caprice," I objected and that was the time he abruptly shifted his gaze from concentrating on the laptop's screen up to face me.
"You won't," magaspang nitong sabi.
The words had cut off me when a sudden noise interrupted me, as I held my gaze up, I found that the disturbance came from Damien slamming, closing his laptop down.
"Hindi ka ba tatakas kapag papayagan kita?" he menacingly snarled, I slowly nodded without second thought, and it was followed by a heavy release of sigh from him. "Fine, and I'm coming with you."
"Do you know a cheap grocery store here?"
Mayhap he was saving money like what he had told me back in San Francisco?
"Bibili muna tayo ng mga damit mo," was his response, pushing his laptop aside before his cold eyes of charcoal grey pierced through me. "We'll be going to Hollywood & Highland."
I had heard about it on social medias and some that I had read on an online news and articles. As far as my knowledge had reached to some common questions as to where was the Hollywood & Highland's location and what of informations about it? It was a shopping center and entertainment complex at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in the Hollywood district here in Los Angeles. I had thought of it as one of the tourist's most visited place, if I was not mistaken.
Who would thought that I, a pauperized, penniless girl that had a prosaic life, would shop in that place with one of the hottest man alive to accompany me? Pretty cool.
The idea had not passed through my mind before, I was too preoccupied of my studies to even think about having a gallant life because I knew that I was not born in that class of people, and I did not have even the least intentions to be one. I would rather live simple in peace.
Damien got up from the stool and gestured his hand for me to follow him. When he started walking his way out of the kitchen, I followed suit.
"Cecelion, get the car ready, and inform Maddox that we're leaving," utos ni Damien kay Cecelion na napatayo mula sa prenteng pagkakaupo sa sofa.
"Aalis tayo? Saan, boss?" Cecelion questioned, unsure.
"I'm bringing Saoirse in a nightclub with me."
