It Is What It Is - I

"I can't believe we're doing this again," Leni mumbled as she inwardly groaned with her eyes shut.

"This is a part of the whole package, sweetheart. Hindi pa nga tayo nangangalahati," panunukso sa kanya ng asawa habang hinaharap siya nito.

The VP chortled as she opened her eyes and saw his bare face, "Akala mo bang napakadali sa'king i-trashtalk ka, Marcos, ha?"

"I don't know, basing what I see on TV mukhang totoo at masasakit naman talaga ang pinagsasasabi mo sa'kin..." he then proceeded to tell another joke, which resulted in him receiving another punch to the chest, which in turn made him laugh.

Napahawak na lang si Leni sa kanyang ulo, "Oh God, that's why I really hate you sometimes."

He stopped chuckling and let out one last breath, trying to make things serious, "The Presidential One-on-one interview with Boy Abunda will be fine, Leni. Not unless you can't control yourself-"

"Ako ba talaga ang kailangan ng controlling measures, Bongbong? Baka nakakalimutan mong sinulot mo ako at biglang hinalikan sa corridor pagkatapos nating mag-file ng COC?" she cut her off, giggling as she realizes that she has now the upper hand after all the joking he's making at her.

"Hey, you're not that clean either. Akala mo hindi ko nahuhuli yung mga nakaw-tingin mo sa'kin? All this time akala ko quits tayo at ginusto mo rin yon, how dare you bring that up..." pag-aalsa niya rito habang hinahapit ang bewang ni Leni papalapit sa kanya.

Leni suppressed her laughter and guilt over the matter, "Pinagsasasabi mo dyan, wala kaya."

A smooch automatically landed on her nose.

"Sige, one lie one kiss," Bongbong dared her.

"Wala nga," she stayed true to her words.

Yet another kiss landed at the side of her left lip. And it was torture for her not to crash it successfully on her lips.

"Come again?" the former senator wriggled himself on her.

She exhaled deeply and tried to make a straight face, "Bongbong Marcos, I did not steal glances at you."

Another peck was given by him but this time, it went at the right side of her lips.

He surrendered, "Okay. That's enough, wala na akong ma-kiss."

One thing became clear to her: he was intentionally trying to get on her nerves by increasing the levels of impatience and anger that she was experiencing. Naturally, they have been secretly married for a number of years, and as a result, he is aware of how to entice and tease her.

"Bongbong..." her grumbles and soft growls are now starting to bubble up as she was left with no reason but to compromise. "Fine! I did! Now please stop making me bitin and do the deed?"

Marcos's only response was a smirk, indicating that he had successfully carried out his plan to force her to reveal the truth about the scenario that has been occurring with him over the course of the past few months. He crept up to her, which caused Leni to squeal in a timid manner for a while, as he carefully examined each and every line as if he had never seen it before. Her eyes, her brows...every feature in her face was just right.
