[AU] Marriage is a Crazy Thing (1) *

A/N: HIIIII SURPRISEEEEE EME HAHAHSHAHSAH this has been something I've been working on for almost six months now but due to writer's drought + college, I just newly got back on my feet. Midterms are also coming up so yea 🥹 but anywayyyy may konting paayuda fo tau mga marse!

This entry is inspired from a South Korean movie with the same name and the same plot. The reason I honed this one is because the moment I watched this, I instantly imagined BongLeni in this situation kasi super duper tugma ang personalities ng characters ng story sa kanilang story din ahuahdhd for strange reasons lang din talaga ewan q den. This will be divided siguro into two-three parts, and I did alter some of the scenes and dialogues in there. I recommend you to watch the movie kasi ang ganda ng story at ang graphic ng mga bedscenes at ang ganda ni Jung-hwa kaya go na mga bestie ko chz shahsuahd. Hope you guys enjoy!

THE MEETING.

Puchang kasal na 'to. Kung hindi ko lang 'to kapatid si Aimee, 'e hindi na ako nag-abala pang pumunta. Ang tanging paulit-ulit na sambit ni Bongbong sa isip habang tinatanggap ang mga money gifts sa reception.

Aside from hating the act of standing by for too long and extending his arms and arching his back countless times to greet the guests fulfilling the best man's role, he himself really is allergic to marriage. In his philosophical views, marriage is tiring. Marriage is something he couldn't live with, nor did he want to achieve for the rest of his life, which suggests a general sense of uncertainty or indecisiveness that he feels lost or unsure about his goals, ambitions, or the path they want to take in life. Frankly speaking, he's directionless in all things.

Hindi na nakatiis si Bongbong at tipid na nilisan ang mesa at naglakad patungo kung saan nakaupo ang kanyang nakakatandang kapatid, "Manang, I should go."

"Are you kidding me? You can't!" with her teeth altogether gritted, she hissed at him.

"May prior appointment ako," he sternly muttered under his breath, trying not to cause a fuss among the guests.

"At talagang mas importante pa yan kaysa sa kasal ng kapatid mo? I told you three months before the date and now you let some stupid meeting ruin your sister's one and only time getting married?" Imee reasoned out.

He scoffed, "How could you be so sure that it's going to be her first and last?"

Pinadiliman ni Imee ng mata si Bongbong, "Oh my god, you're really out of your mind. Bawiin mo yung sinabi— Bongets!"

Bago pa man matapos ni Imee ang sasabihin niya ay inalisan na siya ni Bongbong. Nakatayo pa siya sa kinauupuan ngunit hindi na niya ito nahabol dahil sa tawag sa kanila ng photographer dahil oras na para sa group picture ng family ng bride. She stomped in annoyance and for the nth time, thought of a reasonable excuse why her brother weaseled out of the reception. She clearly is aware of his attitude about the matter, but seems like it'll be hard for the elders to understand him at this kind of moment, being conservatively strict.

Bongbong immediately hopped into his vintage car and drove thoughtlessly, just to get away with the bells, white laces, and flowers that had been surrounding him for the last four hours of his day. After minutes of taking off, he set his mindset on blind date mode. He wasn't lying about having an appointment, because he really was having one. A meeting with a woman...he lost count of how many it has been. It had always been this way. And he just liked it, or probably just got used to the newness it brings him every time.

3 o'clock in front of KFC, College St., with a rolled newspaper...it's a strange sign they agreed on upon meeting someone he just phoned and mailed in and out for weeks now. He can't deny it but somehow, though he had done this countless times, it irked the shit out of him for the alleged lady being a few minutes late. More so, he saw someone with the same fit as him - the rolled newspaper on the side - casually asking him for a lighter. He can't help but wonder. Was he getting played at?
