1985.

In a world full of wrongs, one believes that there is still the existence of righteousness. Not until...not anymore.

A loud voice echoed the whole street, "Bongbong!"

Kumaripas si Leni ng takbo papunta sa direksyon ng binata at biglang tumalon upang yakapin siya. Wala siyang nagawa kundi saluhin ang dalaga sa kanyang mga bisig habang pinakikinggan ang matinis nitong mga sigaw dahil sa kasiyahang naramdaman. Halos nagkatinginan ang lahat ng mga estudyante sa quadrangle dahil sa lakas ng pagkakatawag niya kay Bongbong. Halos siya din ay bahagyang nalilito at nagtataka kung bakit ganoon na lamang siya makakapit sa binata.

Hindi niya naiwasang magtanong, "Anong meron?"

"I passed my Maths, almost perfect ako this finals!" she gripped him so hard in joy and pulled away after. "At nagawa ko 'yon dahil sa'yo, kaya thank you!"

"See? May pa-kaba kaba ka pang nalalaman last week, kayang-kaya mo naman yan," he complimented her. "Congratulations, Leni. You deserve it."

"Kain tayo, libre ko," pag-aaya nito sa kanya habang pinosisyon ang sarili sa tabi nito at naglalakad na ngayon palabas ng UPD campus. Hindi naman nakaangal si Bongbong at tumawa lang sa kanyang tabi. "Anyway, how was yours?"

"Hindi pa kami tapos, pero dalawang units na lang sasagutan namin bukas," he summarized his day.

"Well...how are you feeling about it?" she further asked.

Napasimangot naman nito si Bongbong habang bahagya siyang tinignan, "Since when did you become so nosy?"

"Grabe ka naman sa'kin, syempre solid friends tayo 'no! Ikaw na nga lang ang meron ako, itataboy mo pa ako..." Leni pouted.

Realizing what he had done, he hushed her down, "Ano ba yan, nagdadrama ka na naman..."

"Hehe, alam ko namang sa mga paganon ko lang kita matitino e," she scoffed at him while beaming teasingly at his way.

"To be honest...I'm not really that hungry," komentaryo ni Bongbong nang marating ang tapat ng isang sikat na fastfood chain na siyang malapit lang sa kanilang eskwelahan.

"Then let me walk you home, then?" she offered him.

Bongbong cracked up and picked up his walking pace, "Sira, magkatapat lang dorm natin. Malamang sa malamang, sabay rin tayong uuwi."

"Sungit naman netong anak ng presidenteng 'to," Leni grumbled to herself. "Hoy, hintayin mo 'ko!"

When Leni had finally caught up to Bongbong's footsteps, he ruffled her hair with his fingers. Since the second term of their time spent in UP, they had spent the past year becoming the best of friends. They became closer to one another and learned more about themselves after meeting each other on the school's debate team. Both of them had participated in a tournament for college students held in Mindanao, which was the reason why they had the opportunity to get to know more about one other. Everyone was making fun of them, saying that they are in fact a couple when in reality, they are not...or at the very least, the subject hasn't been brought up between the two of them yet. As long as they enjoy each other's company, it appears that they have no problem with the arrangement that has been made.
