"What's this?" Ran asks spitting out blood. "Oh? You beat up all 200 guys outside?" Hanma smirks.

"Y/n who did that?" He asks walking closer to you and touching your bloody arm. "Don't worry about it I'm fine."

"It was me." Hanma raises his hand. "I'll kill you."

"Now now Ran." Izana walks closer to him grabbing his arm. "Izana?"

"I'm glad you came and not the rest of those idiots."

"Idiots? They look up to you!" Ran moves away. "Of course they do, they're the peasants and I'm the king!"

Izana kicks him in the skull but Ran barely moves. "Don't fuck with me Izana!" He shouts pushing him away.

"Stay out of this Y/n!"

"Mucho! Izana! Hanma! Explain this. What the fuck is going on?!" he demands.

"Since you're begging I'll tell you." Izana sits down next to you. "Hanma went back in time and informed us about our deaths, we didn't believe him obviously but eventually we did. We faked our deaths, kisaki made sure not to shoot vital areas."

"Kisaki is alive?" Ran questions. "Sadly not Rani boy." Hanma shakes his finger "that's why we need you two on our team."

"What asset are we to you guys?"

"We're going to save Kisaki." Mucho says. "Seriously?" Ran deadpans "that's your whole goal? To bring back that idiot."

"Then we'll take control of Mikey and rule as the biggest criminals in Japan!" Izana's eyes light up. "I won't let you." Ran says.

"You were once my most trusted man but now just like Y/n you're too soft." Izana shakes his head.

Ran catches a glimpse of something happening outside then looks at you, who's loosing tons of blood.

"I don't care about this Kisaki guy but, how is Mucho alive? Sanzu killed him in the past did he not?" you ask looking around. Ran's eyes widen and he covers his mouth.

"Ha..Haha...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Hanma bursts out into laughter and Izana smiles. You look at Mucho then at Ran.

"Oh I remember! You asked me who the trigger was." Hanma points at you. "Don't tell me it's"

"SANZU!" Hanma announces.

You stand up but your blood loss weakens your knees and you're about to hit the floor until Ran catches you. "You're okay."

"You're lying!" You accuse Hanma. "But he's not." Mucho finally speaks.

"He's been working with you guys?" you start to tear up. "Ahhhh you're so fucking annoying Y/n!!" Izana explodes.

"Izana! You bastard." Ran says carrying you back to the boxes to sit.

"He did it for you!" Izana yells. "Huh?"

"He came to me depressed and heavily on drugs crying, begging me to help fix his mistake. He told me this girl is the reason why he wants to go back in time and not kill Mucho. But obviously that came with a price, I'm not a charity." Hanma smiles.

"We worked together to achieve Kisaki's dream, but failed to keep him alive."

"It's... it's my fault this is happening." You cover your mouth.

"Hey! Get yourself together" Ran slaps your cheek softly.

"Now. We need a new trigger. Sanzu is a coward and I'd rather keep him alive." Hanma explains.

"Why cant one of you do it?" Ran asks. "We don't have the desire since we can achieve this goal ourselves." Mucho adds.

"What makes you think we have the desire?!" Y/n asks looking at them disgusted.

"Easy. You're gonna defy your king?" Izana smiles creepily. "Our King is Mikey." Y/n and Ran say in Union.

All of them laugh together. "You guys are disgusting!" You shout at them. "Fine if you won't do as we say peacefully, we'll just torture Y/n til either one of you agrees."

"Go ahead. I'll never agree." You pout.

"Ran?!" you turn to look at him. "Y/n it's for the best." He exhales.

"That was sooner than I thought." Mucho says. "Aw you don't want anything to happen to your little girlfriend?" Izana mimics.

"Relationship goals!" Hanma mocks.

"After this, never go near her EVER again." Ran's face darkens and a nervous tick appears on their heads.

Y/n moves her hand and softly touches his. Ran turns around and gives you a reassuring smile.

"I'll do it. But I want a moment alone with Y/n." Ran demands.

The three men look at each other bored. "Fine." Hanma says as they all walk out.

"Ran...why are you doing this?" you ask holding his hand. Ran moves his hands towards your cheeks cupping them.

"Leave this to me okay? I'm going to protect all of you." Tears form in his eyes.

"Don't risk yourself like this please." You move closer to him.

Ran grabs you and carries you princess style to the nearest window. He moves your hair out of your face.

"Just trust me okay?"

"How can I know you'll be okay?" you grab onto him tightly.

"Because I love you...I'd never lie to you."

Ran grabs your neck and clashes your lips together. You return his kisses and let out a small sound opening a passage for him, you move your tongue and his dances with yours. Your hands grab his nape position yourself to deepen the kiss.

Ran pulls out wiping your lips with his thumb. "You're so beautiful."

"Ran please don't go, I need you." you hold your shoulder, the pain is growing.

"You know Y/n, ever since I knew about you I've hated you. Then you cut my braids off and I knew I hated you for sure. Years later you came back and looked at me with those eyes or yours and gave me the sweetest smile. I wish I could've saved you, I wish I could've been with you, started a family together. Oh how I wish we could've been living a boring life together." Ran's tears fall on your face. But one tears falls into your teary eye.

"I love you Ran." You throw your pained arm around him hugging him tightly. "Come back safe. Let's live a boring life together. Let's have boring children and let's die boring." you sob.

"Promise?" Ran asks. "I promise." You kiss him again.

"Are you two done in there?!" Hanma shouts annoyed.

You guys pull out of the kiss and he walks closer to the window.

"Do you trust me?" Ran asks. "I trust you."

Suddenly Ran let's go of you, throwing you outside. Everything felt as if it was in slow motion. He looks at you and gives you a warm smile. Mouthing "see you later."

"Thank you." Was your reply as you see him turn around and walk away.
