3 moons have passed since the gathering. Steelmask and Freckledwish were now sleeping together openly.  Freckledwish started to notice that she was getting tired quicker and she's also was a lot bigger.

Freckledwish was walking to her den feeling overly heavy, sluggish and forever hungry, only to be sick as soon as she ate. She sat by the prey pile, eyeing it off while she decided whether or not to try eating something, when one of the warriors meowed, rather rudely too, "it looks like your getting fat, maybe you should cut back on eating the prey."

Freckledwish ignored the comment as she knew how much trouble she had keeping anything down. She looked down and finally put all the symptoms together that she had been experiencing.

Just then, she saw Steelmask and Leafbelly coming back from patrol, "Hey! Can I see you two in my den?" Freckledwish called out to them and headed for the medicine cat den.

When Leafbelly and Steelmask entered, Freckledwish invited them to sit down in the sideden to ensure more privacy from the clan. They nodded and when they had all settled down, Steelmask seeing some dirt on his fur decided to start cleaning himself, Freckledwish mewed her news

"guys- i- I think I'm expecting kits..."

Steelmask stopped what he was doing and blushed, it was clear to everyone in that room who exactly the father was.

Leafbelly was not at all concerned about his embarrassment, but instead was both happy and concerned for the couple, so she mewed  her question, "That's amazing but- how are we going to get the kits out- without the clan knowing?"

Freckledwish knew that this would be a problem, and as she was thinking of what they could do Steelmask came up with the solution meowing, "We could always go on a Starclan trip, as you are due to have one, and come back after the kits are born and say that we found then on the trip."

Freckledwish and Leafbelly looked at him, nodding, "That is a good idea."
