Tiffany's POV

Jo walked out after taking the empty tray and cups. She slammed the door behind her and I took this moment to pull Drake closer "Come here" I whisper and he smiles and then we lock lips again but this time is soft and full of emotion.

I can't believe the fireworks that are exploding in my stomach right now or was it butterflies? I didn't know and really didn't care. I liked Drake and although we'd just met it felt so right being in his arms and having his lips on mine. I really want this to work. Drake could turn out to be the one and Rusty well he seems like a loose cannon and well Drake asked first. Rusty had his chance but he blew it. I melt into Drakes arms as we deepen our kiss when the door swings open. We pull away only to be staring at a very red and angry Mr Jenkins. He looks at Drake and then at me. He follows by checking out where our hands are and here our lips just were "Tiffany Jenkins!" he almost yells at me and I flinch

"Yes, Dad!" I say softly.

He glares at us "May I ask why you're alone in your room with this..this boy?" I look at Drake who looks pale.

I hate my Dad sometimes, I wish he'd just get over the fact that I'm not his little girl anymore.

What shocks me is Drake stands up and walks over to my Dad. My eyes grow wide, is this boy insane. My Dad is going to rip his head right off those beautifully sculptured shoulders. Drake extends his hand "Mr Jenkins. I'm Drake Simmons, Tiffany's boyfriend" he looks at Drake then at me and grits his teeth

"Boyfriend?" I bite my bottom lip. Shit!

He's going to lose the plot and we've only been here not a week and I have a boyfriend and Jo has a potential boyfriend. God, we're like 2 little hussies who just moved in to get the first boy they found. I look down and wait for my Dad to continue yelling "John Jenkins" I hear and I look up and see them shake hands

"Sir, I know it's sudden but your daughter took my breath away, stole my heart even and I knew I'd have to make her mine before she was harassed. I feel like I can protect her and keep her safe"

"Safe, well Drake. You didn't do a good enough job of that now did you"

"True Sir and I'm truly sorry that Tiffany got her ankle broken which is why I'm here and will be everyday to help her as I feel horrible that I wasn't able to protect her like I wanted" I watch my Dad study Drake before he smiles and slap the back of his shoulder

"Drake, my boy. You seem like a nice lad and it'd be an honour for you to date my daughter and keep her date so no more funny business okay?" Drake nods and then they shake hands

"Just no PDA around the wife and I okay?" I start laughing.

I can't believe my Dad just said 'PDA' to my boyfriend of all people. Drake smiles and let's out a small laugh "Deal"

"Now. Drake my boy would you like to stay for dinner?" Drake looks at me and I nod and he smiles widely

"I'd love too. Anything to be a little closer to Tiffany and to get to know her family" Dad smiles and says in almost a whisper

"Don't overdo it now" We all smile and Dad walks out.

I start to breathe again and Drake walks over to help me up "Come on let's go down stairs for dinner?" I nod and then Drake picks me up bridal style

"Drake! I can walk" I cry out and he laughs

"Look. I promised to protect you and keep you safe now I helped with this so I'll be here as much as possible for you" I smile and kiss his warm lips quickly

"Thank you" I say and rest my head into his chest.

He smells so good. I close my eyes and take him all in. He has no trouble walking me down and I realise how fit he must be. Mum had dinner set out and we all sat down. Drake next to me with Dad at the head of the table, Mum at the other end and Jo across from us. We silently served our food on our plates and then ate. It was too quiet, like no one knew what to say. Almost too awkward! Jo was the first to break the silence and I grinned as she spoke knowing she hated things being so quiet "So Dad. Gabe showed me how to do an olly today and I ended up falling on my butt but in the end I got it and I couldn't stop smiling" He looked at her and then at me

"Jolene, I don't think you should be spending so much time at the skate park learning how to do an olly with the young man from across the street" he raised an eye brow and Jo glared at him

"No! No I won't Dad" this time she was standing up glaring at him.

He looked at her "Jolene, we have company can you please behave?"

"NO!" her voice echoed over his and you could see him gritting his teeth.
