Tiffany's POV
When I get back everyone has food in front of them and are eating. Jo is talking about all the clothes she found and we're just listening. I feel something brush against my ear and then hear in a whisper "Does she ever shut up?" I laugh and nearly choke on my food.
I look at Rusty and smile shaking my head knowing that Mum and Jo are now looking at us. My face goes hot and I know I'm blushing. I keep it down hoping no one says anything for me to look up and everyone to notice. Jo keeps going and I giggle. We finish eating and then Rusty looks at me then my Mum "Um, Mrs Jenkins?" my Mum looks at him a smiles
"Please call me Daphne" he nods
"Daphne, would it be okay if I take the girls and show them around?" my heart speeds up and I look at my Mum.
She looks at us and nods "Sure, just put your shopping bags in the car and I'll see you later. I'm a little tired so might take a nap?"
"Thanks Mum" we say in unison, she laughs
"Come on, let's drop off those bags so you kids can enjoy the rest of your day?" we nod as we look at see that we both have at least 5 bags each, laughing we all get up and follow her to the car.
We place our bags in the boot and she gives us a hug and says she'll see us later "Not too late!" she calls out as we walked to Rusty's car
"Okay Mum!" I yell over my shoulder, giving her a wave.
We get to Rusty's car and Jo looks at me "You take the front. I like having more room to move" I nod as she climbs into the back.
I get in my seat and buckle up. I look at Rusty who put's in the key and turns the car on. It noise echoing through the carpark, then off we went. Rusty drove us around town and pointed out everything which also had a story behind it. It was nice, I just sat and listened and wondered to myself. Why am I even here, I don't want him to get the wrong idea about us. I mean I still don't know him and I definitely don't have any sort of feelings for him but I wanted to take a look at this new place we call home and he was doing a great job. We showed us the local swimming pool, the other schools in the district and then he went to a park. He stopped the car and made us get out. I looked in front of us and saw this huge park with gardens, swings and even a water feature. It was breath taking! A place I could sit and read all day at.
Jo jumps out and runs to the swings dragging Rusty with her as she ran past, he just laughed and followed her. I laughed and slowly walked around taking in the scenery around me. I touched the flowers and trees and just fell more in love with the place the more I looked around. There was a skate park to the left so I slowly walked over to notice some of Rusty's little crew there. I see them wave and notice Jo and Rusty standing there. I hide behind a tree and watch as Rusty looks around to find me, he points over my way and then the kid with the skate board coming skating over. I try pretend I'm looking at the tree when I hear a voice behind me, making me jump "Rusty said to come grab you and bring you over?" I turn to see this handsome guy, he had broad shoulders, nicely tanned and a smile to die for.
He saw me looking so extended his hand "Drake, Drake Simmons!" I smiled back
"Tiffany Jenkins"
"Cool, well come on" He grabbed my hand and I felt the instant tingling feeling, or sparks?
Either way he noticed too and quickly let my hand go looking directly into my eyes. I looked at his hands and then his face, had he really felt that? I brushed it off as we got closer and he skated off. I see Rusty watching my every move and then he looks at Drake who shrugs at him and keeps skating. Did Rusty see our moment? Was he pissed or angry with us over it?
