Tiffany's POV
Since it was late in the afternoon I thought I'd get out my swinging chair and set it up out under the tree so I could read tomorrow after shopping. I think I'd need it afterwards. Jo was always full on when shopping so I always went my own way to meet back up with them later. I knew what I liked and wanted Jo on the other hand liked looking at anything and everything before deciding. I went to the shed and started pulling the pieces out and bringing them to the lawn out the front, once it was all there I laid it down and started to work out which part needed to be attached to switch and then used the tools I found in the shed to put it together. I had one side of the legs up but I couldn't get the other to fit so I was getting a little frustrated. Standing there for a moment to relax and reassess the situation I stood there with my hands on my hips and thought about what I was doing wrong when I heard someone behind me clear their throat "Need a hand?" they asked in a deep husky voice.
I spun around only to be staring at a smiling Rusty. Oh great now I'll never live it down, pretty girl confused at setting up a swinging chair and Rusty came to the rescue? "Um no, it's okay. I just need to think about how I go this side done first" I wasn't asking him for help.
I could do this!
He stood behind me for a while as I tried to move the darn things this way and that with no luck then a large hand came down over mine grabbing the piece I had in my hand "Look I can't stand here watching you get so frustrated like this, just let me help?" he grabbed some tools and then started putting things together
"Grab that end and pull it to here" he pointed to a spot and I nodded
"Okay" I said softly knowing he was loving every moment of me being stranded and him helping.
I looked up at him at on stage and he just had this smile plastered on his face. I scoffed – asshole! I thought. It took him 10 minutes and it was set up perfectly. I stood there looking at it and then looked over at him as he bent down to sit and swing on it "Um well thanks for the help Rusty" he looked up and smiled
"Anytime Tiffany. You know all you had to do was ask and I would have come over to help instead of watching you get frustrated for the past hour?" he cocked his head to the side as he looked up at me slightly swinging on my chair.
He'd been watching the whole time, what an arse!
"Look my Dad and I did it last time I just thought I'd be able to do it myself and I guess I was wrong so thank you for coming over to help" he chuckles
"Actually it was fun watching you trying to figure it out at first then it was just cruel watching you so I came over to help" I glared at him. That bastard just watched me enjoying that I was getting frustrated. I couldn't believe my ears. I shocked my head and really wanted to say something when he snapped me out of my thoughts "So Tiff, take a seat on our seat and tell me about yourself?" I squinted my eyes at him "Our seat?" I questioned
"Well yeah, I did help assemble it? Didn't I?" we looked into each other's eyes and that's when I saw that his were soft and playful.
He was enjoying this whole thing and it was at my expense. I rolled my eyes and thought I better be nice to him since he did help and Mother would be upset if I wasn't nice back.
