Tiffany's POV

I couldn't take it any longer. I hit him hard across the face and demanded to know who it was. Drake held me as much as he could but I kept lashing out because even though he hadn't told me who, I knew it was someone in my family. I dropped as Drake released me a little to the floor, his strong arms comforting me "Baby, just hear him out...please?" I looked at Rusty through my tears

"It was quick and she didn't feel anything. It was an.... an accident Tiff. Please don't cry" I burst into tears when my phone rang.

It was the house number, if Rusty couldn't tell me whoever was on the other end of this phone better "Hello?" I answered the phone shaky "Tiffany baby, you need to come home now. It's Amber" it was my mother's voice.

I looked up at Rusty and then Drake, tears in my eyes. I almost dropped my phone as I started to run home. Both Drake and Rusty called out to me but nothing was going to stop me. I ran as fast as I could until I finally reached my house.

I couldn't have lost her? We only just spoke to each other and arranged for her to come stay with us. She wanted to meet Rusty and Drake. I ran to the door and looked at it for a moment before opening it up. Everyone looked up and there stood my parents and Jo. My Mum was crying "NOOOOO!" was all I screamed before falling to the floor.

I felt arms around me and then someone carrying me up to my room but I didn't care. I'd lost someone close to my heart and didn't know how to stop the void. I kept crying and didn't know what else to do "It's okay Tiffany. I'm here for you?" it was Drake's soothing words in my ears.

I felt like my world had tumbled out of control and I'd been oblivious to realise that. I was laid down on the bed and I curled up into a ball and cried myself to sleep. I woke in the middle of the night with a massive headache. I got up to find arms over me. I looked over to see Drake's and Rusty's face, they were both here for me. , the tears started to flow and he came over hugging me tightly. I gripped his shirt and cried, making his shirt wet but I didn't care and I didn't know when I would. I didn't know what else to do so I cried and he held me tightly to him. He cradled me in his arms till I fell asleep.

I don't know what else happened after that I was exhausted and emotional but I woke up during the night to find Rusty sleeping on the couch outside and Drake curled up with me on my bed. I smiled at the thought that I had 2 new best friends who cared for me and I cared for them. I knew the road before us would be long and hard and I only hoped that these boys would be there to pick me up when I needed and to help me get through this. The next day was the worse, I couldn't stop crying. Jo and Mum took turns in making sure I ate or drank but I just wanted to cry. No one could understand the pain I was feeling right now, I'd lost my first true best friend and it felt like the pain would never go away. I could only imagine if Drake and I got that close how I would feel if something bad had happened to him, how would I react? I'd be Devastated!

Drake had to go home but Rusty stayed and it felt like he was the only one willing to be here with me. Drake said he's Dad needed him and I get that but I wish he'd fought to stay a little longer? Either way Rusty stayed right beside me the whole day getting me food and drinks and we talked. It was nice and I couldn't help but start to develop more love for him. Was this wrong? I was supposed to be mourning and here I was thinking about how I liked this guy and how much I really wanted to kiss him right now but then I'd think of Drake and how sweet he'd been. He deserved a faithful girlfriend and that's what I wanted to be. Faithful! I shook away the feelings I was getting for Rusty and put it down to me just being emotional right now. He stayed until he had to go, Gabe had been here almost all day with Jo and I could only imagine what they'd been doing in the privacy of her room but I didn't care right now. My heart was aching and I needed someone outside my family to keep me occupied. Rusty did a great job of that so it was sad to see him go. I thanked him and he said he'd try come over tomorrow. Drake then called and we talked for ever over the phone, I felt better knowing he was thinking of me. He wished he could come over but his Dad wouldn't let him go so I guess the call was the best I was getting from him until tomorrow. He said he'd come over and try cheer me up soon. That I couldn't wait for. I feel asleep with the teddy bear my Dad had given me years ago as a young girl it helped make me feel secure and protected as I fell asleep.

I showered and pulled my sheets off my bed, throwing them in the laundry for me to do later. I got puffy eyes but I somehow felt better. Drake saw me and came up hugging me. I instantly felt the guilt of how I was feeling about Rusty. Did Drake deserve a girl like me? Or was it do I deserve a guy like him? I hugged Drake back and he said "Let me take you out for a while. Take your mind off things for a bit?" I looked at my Mum who nodded

"It'll take your mind off things for a while?" she said, I nodded.

Rusty was outside on his front lawn, while Drake stood in my driveway. I waved over at Rusty. I couldn't help but smile myself as I studied Rusty's smile more than my own boyfriend's. Who was now standing in front of me looking worried.

"Tiff? Tiff? Are you okay?" I heard Drakes voice interrupt my thoughts.

I look at him "Oh sorry.......yeah I'm fine thanks" I smiled at Rusty first before getting in the car.

I was fine, really I was. My heart had been ripped from my body and thrown away like a paper bag on a windy day and now I was developing stronger feelings for my boyfriend's best friend. Life was fucking perfect!
