Tiffany's POV
I sat up and Drake looked at me "Sorry" he mouthed as Rusty sat across from us folding his arms across his chest and staring at us. I felt like there was more to why Rusty was acting like an ass but I couldn't figure it out what was wrong with him? "So Tiffany tell us about yourself?" Rusty asked so I did.
I told how my life was back home, my best friend was Amber and how great she is. Rusty made a comment about liking to hit that but I ignored him and continued. I told them about school, my grades. What my parents did as a job and why we moved. I even told them about Jolene and how close we are as sisters. Rusty didn't seem all that interested but Drake was and that's who I wanted to know more anyway. After I told my story – skipping all the boys parts since I didn't really want Rusty to know anything about it, Drake then told me about him. How him and Rusty became friends, his family, school. It was nice to know more about him and well I couldn't help but liking him more. Strange I know especially when we've known each other for a short period of time but I feel like I've known him for years. Rusty gave me the spill on him and his family and his criminal record, he thought it was funny and Drake laughed at a few things but I slapped Drake who stopped laughing and I asked Rusty "Are you really proud of being a delinquent?" he smiled
"Tiffany, I'd hate to break it to you but not everyone has a perfect family or life so yeah I guess I am proud" I roll my eyes
"Well make sure Gabe doesn't get Jo into any trouble she needs to focus on her school work for college later on" Rusty scoffs
"I think Jo can make her own decisions don't you?"
"NO! I don't. She's young and is influenced easily so no she can't make her own decisions and she seriously doesn't need someone to influence her to do anything like that either!" I was standing now and Drake had held of my hand.
I got Drake to help me back up to the carpark and asked for him to drive me home. Rusty and him got into an argument about it but I didn't care they'd get over it! I'm sure they've fought over worst stuff other than my baby sister. Drake held my hand all the way home and kept saying sorry but like I told him it wasn't him it was Rusty and how dare he think it's okay for siblings to get into trouble with the law? What a moron. I was so angry when I got back but Drake managed a smile from me as well as a hug and kiss. That kid is just too cute for me and once I'd smiled I was a lot more happier. I thanked him for making me smile and he just said "Remember that we can't always stop someone we love from doing something stupid"
"I know but she's easily influenced and I don't want my parents to regret moving here"
"I know but just be there for her and trust me Gabe is nothing compared to Rusty"
"Really? So have you been in trouble with Rusty?" he looks down and kicks a small rock with his foot
"Yeah and like you said it was stupid and now I just don't go with them" for that I gave him a long soft kiss.
He was a little surprised at first but he soon melted into my arms.
Drake left after bringing in my bag and my Mum thanked him, like a million times. She even tried to get him to stay but he winked at me and said he had dinner plans with his parents. Mum understood and liked the idea that Drake likes spending time with his parents but he never really said he wanted too, it was more that he had too! Either way my Mum was happy and she liked my boyfriend which is a first. She hated the other 2! Maybe that's a sign? Jo was home when I got back, she was in her room. I went and knocked on her door "Come in" I here so I manage my way in this these stupid crutches.
She sees me come in and smiles "So how was your little date with lover boy?" I laugh, she always had colourful words to use
"It was good until Rusty showed up ruining the afternoon...hey Jo...Gabe hasn't asked you to do anything you know you shouldn't right?" she looks at me confused and hurt
"Why?"
"Only coz Rusty was telling me about his little criminal history and Gabe has been involved in some of it. I just don't want to see you get hurt or in trouble for anything you know you shouldn't be doing?" she laughs
"I love how you think I'd do anything like that without thinking about it first?" I smile knowing she's right, it's stupid of me to think she would be with her being so angry with dad lately anything's possible and I just want her to know I'm here and thinking of her.
We spend some sisterly time together until dinner was called by Mum. Dad wasn't home still apparently working late which you could see on my Mum's face that she wasn't too impressed by that but she put a plate in the oven for him for later and we all ate together. Mum told us that she'd be starting her new job this coming Monday so we wanted to make sure we all help up around the house as much as possible and for Jo to help me bring my school bag back since it's hard. I told her I'd get Drake to do it but she insisted that I don't use him for just that. I tried to tell her I wouldn't but she wouldn't have a bar of it so I gave up and let her whinge and complain. We helped clean up before retreating back to my room. We thought we'd watch a movie together before bed.
