Chapter 30

I looked away because I think I just melted with what he said. "Okay."

He chuckled and patted my head while still picking a movie that we could watch. It was his turn to pick a movie so I just let him scroll through my Netflix account.

I lowered the temperature of my room because it still felt too hot even though it was already set at 18 degrees celsius. I set the temperature to 15 degrees... I should ask my mom to improve the air conditioning system of our home.

"Okay lang ba sa'yo 'yong Knowing?" Matt asked me and pointed at the TV where the trailer of the movie was playing.

I just nodded and took my comforter from my bed and sat beside him. I put the comforter over our heads and hugged him. He wrapped his arm around me and I leaned into his chest because I was already drained from all the waving and smiling.

I sighed in contentment as I felt his warm body envelop me in a tight hug. I love cold places but I love his warmth more.

His heart was beating fast like mine so I looked up at him and his face was blank while his eyes were too focused on the TV.

"Your heart is racing," I teased him ignoring my own heart.

He looked at me and his face softened. He just smiled at me and kissed my forehead. "Ayan, parehas na siguro tayo."

"I think, I'm going to faint," I whispered because I felt my heartbeat doubled from earlier.

He chuckled and caressed my back. "Sorry."

I looked away because I knew that my face was already too red and it was embarrassing. "It's okay. I liked it."

"Mga sinasabi mo talaga, Cat, hindi ka natatahimik kahit anong gawin ko," he said as he laughed and pinched my nose.

I looked at him and he had an amused expression on his face. "I really did like it..." I said and pouted.

He just shook his head while still smiling and continued watching. I just watched with him until I felt my eyelids becoming heavy.

"Cat, gising na," I heard Matt whisper as he caressed my face. "Kailangan ko na umuwi sa amin, hinahanap na ako ni daddy."

I opened my eyes and his face was the first thing that I saw. I can't help but smile because of how nice it felt to see his face right after a nap. "What time is it?"

"Three in the afternoon," he answered and chuckled. "Ang haba ng tulog mo."

I pouted. "You should have woken me up when the movie ended."

"Mukhang ngayon ka pa lang kasi bumabawi pagkatapos ng lahat ng nangyari noong nangampanya kayo para kay tito. Ayaw nga kita gisingin kaso baka magtampo ka kapag nagising ka tapos wala na ako."
