Matt rushed to me. "Okay ka lang? May masakit ba sa'yo?" Panic was laced in his voice while he was wiping my tears away.

"You're here..." I trailed as I stared at him. I didn't want to blink because it felt like a dream... As if he'd disappear if I close my eyes even for a second.

He smiled at me and continued wiping my tears away. "Of course, I'm here. I'm sorry I couldn't come earlier, I got stuck at work."

I stretched my arm and caressed his face with my shaky hand. I smiled when I was able to touch him and he didn't disappear.

He's still here... This is real...

I didn't know what to say or do... He was really here, right in front of me and he was smiling while his eyes were twinkling. Is he really happy to see me?

He held my hand that was caressing his face and he caressed it. "I thought I lost you, Cat. Akala ko hindi na kita makakausap kahit kailan."

My heart stopped when called me 'Cat' before I could even speak, I sobbed again because of the happiness that I was feeling.

I scooted closer to him and hugged him. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry for everything that happened between us. I'm sorry that I believed them instead of your love for me. I'm sorry, Matty."

He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my head. "Shh... Okay na, Cat... Okay na."

I looked up at him and my heart swelled at the sight of him looking at me lovingly. "I missed you... I missed you so much. I was so lost without you, Matty."

Tears were streaming down his face and he shook his head before he hugged me tighter. He didn't utter a word but the warmth of his hug delivered comfort to me.

He pulled away and took something out of the bag that he was carrying. It was a medium-sized velvet box made for bracelets and necklaces.

He opened it and took a chain out. "Sa'yo yata 'to." He opened his hand and my pendant was on his palm.

Relief washed over me as I stared at the pendant that was on Matty's palm. "Thank you for keeping her safe."

Matt stilled and glanced at the pendant. "Her?"

I smiled and nodded. "That's where I kept the ashes of our baby. I didn't know if our baby was a girl or a boy but I feel it in my gut that our baby was a girl."

Matt turned his gaze at my pendant again with his lips parted. His eyes were full of confusion and sadness as he stared at it.

A tear escaped from his eye that he wiped immediately and he helped me put on the pendant chain. I wiped his tears away while he was putting the chain around my neck.

He kissed my temple and wrapped his arm around me. He rested his forehead on my shoulder, he was sobbing as he held me tightly.
