Cain groaned and sat up. He was still in the medbay. He felt a very dull pain in his wrist and saw an IV drip that was giving him fluids. But why? What had happened in the time he fell asleep again?

"Good, you're awake. Again," the clone medic, Kix, said.

"What happened?" Cain managed to croak out. His throat felt like Tatooine.

Kix handed him a glass of water. "There was suddenly a spike and then fall. Worst case of overextertion I've ever seen. Be careful."
Cain was confused. Something had to have happened.

"How is he?" Fives asked. Cain scowled. Fives gave him a 'what?' look.

"He's alright now. You can go, I'd like to speak to my patient myself," Kix told Fives, leaving no room for argument. Fives shrugged and walked out.

Kix immediately began checking the machines hooked up to Cain and leaned close to him. "I was lying before. It wasn't a sudden spike," he said lowly. Kix looked around to make sure no one heard him. "Fives somehow managed to get past me and drugged you and then shouted who you are to General Kenobi in front of the, luckily, few of my brothers that were in here. Fives really wants to kill you after what he explained to me, and I think he's being completely irrational."

"My stunt on that stealth mission on the Separatist base?" Cain asked. Kix nodded. Cain slumped. "Great. Now I've got a murderous ARC trooper on my heels."

Kix chuckled dryly. "Be careful. He'll only try something if you two are alone or if he thinks no one is watching."

"Thanks for the warning."

"No worries. Doing my duty to keep you out of the medbay. He's a better fighter than he looks." Kix grabbed a syringe from a tray. "I'm just going to take a blood sample to make sure the drug is out of your system."

Cain looked away as the syringe pierced his skin. He was never great with needles.

"When can I get out of here?" Cain asked as Kix went over to a blood testing machine.

"Soon," Kix replied and watched the screen for abnormalities in Cain's blood. "Looks like you're all good." Kix walked back over to Cain. "Now, this is going to both hurt and feel funny. Be ready." The medic grabbed a weird looking tool from the same tray he got the syringe from and both pressed and pulled at the same time to remove the drip. Cain stiffened as he felt it come out and then relaxed as the feeling disappeared and Kix slapped a bacta patch on the small wound.

"You're all good to go now," Kix told Cain as he changed the end of the IV drip and put a stopper into the end.

"Thank you," Cain thanked and moved his wrist. "Do you know where my armour is?"

"Genral Skywalker has it."

"Oh for Force's sake." Luckily Cain wasn't completely stripped of clothing. It seemed like he was wearing some of Anakin's clothes. "And the rest of my things?"

"With the General."

Cain sighed. "I hope the next time I see you isn't me in a bed."

Kix smiled. "I hope so too. Have fun, General."

Cain walked out and winced at the title. He never was given it, but he was told by the clones he was given the same rank as a Jedi who lead them, and Cain hadn't been told that himself. The way the system worked sometimes was weird.

Cain arrived at Anakin's quarters and stepped inside. He was immediately met with the foul stench of alcohol. Rex and Anakin were sitting next to each other at the bench with a bottle of alcohol of some kind between them. Anakin heard him enter.
