Alyssa fell asleep in her chair as the conjoined ships sped through space. Cain watched her briefly before he heard footsteps approaching him.

Hunter sat in the chair, or more like crate, next to him. "I want to hear an explanation from you."

Cain sighed tiredly and rubbed his face. "There's nothing left."

"What exactly is an abnormality? I noticed no one really asked that."

"I barely even know myself." Cain paused. "Maybe I should get in touch with my parents to clear things up."

"You don't have to. We just need answers." Hunter avoided Cain's eyes when Cain frowned at him.

"I would love answers, but they don't exist. Not unless I contact my family. I need to know how exactly magic works, and what those cuffs that were put on Quinton were. I could feel their malice." Cain shuddered.

"Those I believe would be iridium cuffs. They supposedly contain one's magical power and if they try to use their reserves, the cuffs burn them severly. Not fire burn, a magical burn. Different apparently. I suppose it's a burn that fire magic users are not immune to, like lightsaber burns," Tech said suddenly, startling both Hunter and Cain slightly.

"How did you find that?" Cain asked.

"It's simple really. The Elf Hunters Guild exists everywhere, so information like that is relatively easy to come by." Tech paused for a moment, scrolling and tapping at his datapad. "How fascinating. Lightsabers were invented for the opposing sides of the Force to battle, but the Elvish weren't ever accepted into either order at first. The lightsabers the Elvish managed to acquire were used to battle each other, mostly fire users since they are so common. Plasma is one thing that actually burns a fire user."

"That's helpful, but I have already figured out the lightsaber burn thing. I found out the hard way."

"Look, I think we'd all better get some rest right now," Hunter stated, getting up. "Whatever anger I can smell radiating off everyone should level out if everyone sleeps."

Cain agreed, but stayed in the seat as Hunter and Tech walked away. There were too many things he needed to know, and too many things he needed to do.

Cain woke up to hyperspace still zooming past them. He felt so groggy, but in the back of his mind an idea sparked. He was jolted awake by the intensity of his desire to do it, but masked it with getting his datapad out and pretending to use it.

"I'm not going to pretend I didn't feel that through the Force. What are you thinking?" Alyssa asked, sitting down next to Cain. He didn't hear her approach, but wasn't startled.

"I have this awful, brilliant and stupid idea. We should break Quinton out of wherever he is," Cain answered, feeling that same intense desire.

"What?! Are you crazy!? I'm not risking my hide for that freak!"

Cain nodded. "I thought you'd feel that way." He looked over at her with a deadpanned expression. "Not even for infotmation?"

She sighed, seeming to think about it for a moment. "No. Absolutely not."

"How about we just locate him then? Then we decide?"

"I guess locating him will be no harm. Fine. Locate him only." She glared at him.

Cain smiled sheepishly. "I wasn't expecting you to conform. I'll do my best."
