                 -One week later-

Admiral Axel walks in and says "pilots, the mission has been moved to this Thursday" y/n says "THIS Thursday!?" He says "is that a problem?" She says "no sir" and he walks out.
Y/n says "we have two days left until this mission. Everything else will remain the same. We will be making the training a lot harder due to the mission being moved earlier. Todays training you will be fighting 8 F-18s, tomorrow will be 12. We are doing each training twice no matter the time." Maverick says "what's the positions for the mission?" Y/n says "we take out the cargo first so two on each and the other can be backup. Coyote you will be the backup. For the airships, everyone attacks, we just have to communicate which we do very well. This is obvious but just reminding everyone, the main target is the cargo first BUT if you or your teammates are having problems with the bogeys then attack them. Most importantly try not to die please" and smiles.
They do their practice run and Phoenix and Coyote were shot down.
When they finish y/n walks up saying "Phoenix, Coyote. What the heck happened out there!? Y'all are dead now! What happened?" Phoenix says "I went below the hard deck of 5,000" y/n says "there is no hard deck for this mission. But obviously don't run into the ground. I have 100% faith and trust in y'all that this mission will succeed. Fight like this is your last fight. Every time you get in that plane you might not be coming back down. Think about that. So protect, protect, protect your teammates!!"
Bradley says "y/n, no sacrifice plays" y/n says "this mission has to be completed. Do what needs to be done but try and come back home" and smiles. She adds "I love all of you so much, So let's go kick some butt!"
Maverick says "another round?" Y/n says "yep, act like it's the real thing"
They do the training and when they're down everyone is sweating. Y/n says "great job guys! We're going to up it to 12 like I said tomorrow so be prepared." Phoenix says "Ghost, so you think we can do one more run?" Y/n says "is that cool with everyone else?" They all agree so they do it a 3rd time.
It was the best they have ever done today.
Y/n says "alright crew, that's enough training for today" and head home for the night.
They eat leftovers for dinner and chill for the rest of the night.
Y/n starts to feel bad and goes to get Bradley, he was hanging out with Jake, Javy, Bob and Maverick.
She walks in and says "babe, I hate to bother you but I'm having a really bad cramp, it's worse than when I normally have them." Bradley gets up and sprints over to her and says "what happened? Did you do something strenuous? Did you eat something that hurt?" She says "All I did was stand up" he says "after this mission you need to get checked out" she says "yeah"
He says "let's go to sleep and see how you feel in the morning" and kisses her.

-The next morning-

Everyone gets up and goes about their business.
They head off to training and y/n says "aviators! Tomorrow is the mission, we all graduated from Top Gun. We're the best of the best. So let's get to training "
They head to the hangar And takeoff. The first round went good. They do three more rounds. Everyone is beyond exhausted. Jake says "I'm never exhausted and I'm about to die" Bradley says "baby, I get.... I get wanting... this mis.... Mission to be good.... But.... Phew....you're killing us before.... Before we even get..... out there" deeply out of breath. She says" there is no time for mistakes. Everyone flew very well this morning and afternoon. Go back to the house and rest up. Tomorrow is the big day" Axel says "Come to my office lieutenant commander Bradshaw" Bradley says "which one sir?" He says "Ghost" she walks into his office and he immediately says "this mission better happen. If I'm disappointed and it fails you WILL be demoted back to just a lieutenant." Y/n says "sir, you won't be disappointed. They are the best of the best. The best fighter pilots the Navy has. We will go, get it down and come back home" he says "I know you want all of your friends to come back home but this mission is more important. Make sure it gets done. Dismissed" y/n says "sir" he says "dismissed lieutenant" and she walks out. Bradley walks up saying "what'd he say?" She says "to make sure... everyone stays safe" and walks off.
Bradley says "there's something wrong, tell me" she continues to walk off wiping small tears that's fallen down her face. Jake says "Ghost, talk to us" she wipes her eyes and turns around and says "I'm good" Bradley says "are you sure babe?" She says "yes! Im fine" he says "no you're not. You just said im fine. You're not fine" y/n says "I'm just a little stressed but I'll be okay" and kisses his cheek and walks off.
Y/n says "let's just get takeout tonight. I don't feel like making a big meal. I'm sorry" Bradley says "baby, you're super woman we understand. You have so much going on, me of all people understand" and smiles.
She says "thank you baby" and hugs him. They head to Carabbas to pick up the food and back home. They eat and get straight to sleep. No talking, games or movies just pure sleep.
Y/n was the first to fall asleep and Bradley was the last. He texts Maverick and says "mav, I'm nervous about y/n" Maverick says "she's a Mitchell, she should be fine. If she needed you she would let you know" Bradley says "but I've never seen her like this before" Mav says "I have a few times, she'll be fine. Dont worry about her. :-)" Bradley says "thanks dad" and smiles through the phone, so does Maverick.
