Ghost and Rooster

Today was the day y/n dreaded, she would be leaving Rooster, Phoenix and everyone she loved.
She woke up at 5:30 sitting in her room softly crying to herself. After about an hour and a half of crying she pulls herself together and heads to the washroom and gets her aviator suit on with her combat boots and aviator sunglasses.

She walks out and runs into Rooster. He says "good morning y/n/n! Are you ready!?" I say "Yeah, where are you getting deployed to?" He says "FVA-87 Golden Warriors. How about you?"
She says "when are you leaving?" He says "next week, are you going to answer my question?" She says "I don't know yet, I need to go see Admiral Hank" and walks off. 

She arrives at his office and knocks. He says "come in" and she walks in and says "sir, is there any way I can get deployed tomorrow or something sir?" He says "I'm sorry Ghost, but today is the only time you can leave. Remember you only have 30 minutes after the ceremony." 

She says "yes sir" he says "is that all lieutenant?"
She says "yes sir" and salutes him.
She walks out and sighs. Rooster appears out of nowhere and says "Ghost, what's wrong?"
She says "Bradley, I'm fine!"

And he says "I'm sorry darling" she says "it's fine, let's go eat"
They head to the lunchroom and eat a little something.
8:30 rolls around and admiral Hank walks out and says "lieutenants! Head out to the ceremony grounds, it's about to start!"Everyone heads to the event. 

At 9:00 sharp admiral Hank walks out and says "Welcome ladies and gentlemen! As we are gathered here today to celebrate all of these graduates and all their hard work!" Aviator with the highest score is... Ghost with a 100% on flying, 98% in the test and it took her 12 minutes to do 200 pushups, 9 minutes to do 200 sit-ups, 30 pull-ups in 10 minutes which she failed, 50 100lbs bench press in 5 minutes, 50 150lbs dead weight lifting in 7 minutes, passed the 5 minute plank and took her 7 minutes to run a mile. Ghost please come up here for your speech"

Everyone starts clapping and she walks up there saying " thank you Admiral!
I want to thank all of my instructors, y'all taught me so so much about how to be the best pilot I can be. I also want to thank all my friends who were there for me and supported me, I couldn't have made it through all of this if it wasn't for you. You all mean so much to me and I cherish you guys. And I love you all. The reason why I am saying all of this is because 30 after this ceremony I will be deployed to Virginia. I didn't know how to tell any of you so I decided to say my goodbyes now. I can't give you all a proper goodbye so this is my goodbye." And walks off. Rooster then gets called up there now on the verge of tears. He goes onto his speech and says "I want to thank Admiral Hank for allowing me to be here and all of the instructors who bettered my piloting skills. I've enjoyed spending time with most of you. But hearing that my wingwoman is leaving breaks my heart. We've been inseparable since birth so her leaving is going to a change. But cheers to everyone graduating." And walks off and goes to y/n and says "forget watching all of this, I need to talk to you" and grabs her hand and walks off. She says "Rooster, what's up?"
He says "you're leaving me?" She says "Rooster don't make this harder than what it is please" and starts to tear up.

He says "when did you find out?" With a broken tone. She says "yesterday." He says "so something was bothering you. And you didn't tell me!? I HAD TO FIND OUT THAT MY BEST FRIEND WAS LEAVING AND I HAD TO FIND OUT WHEN YOUR ACQUAINTANCES FOUND OUT!! HOW FAIR IS THAT TO ME!?" she looks down and starts crying. Rooster says "baby, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm just... I'm just going to miss you like crazy. I'm not going to fly the same without you as my wingwoman" she says "I don't want to leave Roo, I really don't" he says, starting to cry himself "darling you have to go. You can't say no. I just feel like I'm not going to see you again" she says "I know I have to. Roo don't say that, I'm going to see you again one day." And hugs him greatly.

He says "I don't know what I'll do if I can't see or talk to you everyday" and breaks down crying. She rubs his back saying "Roo, Bradshaws and Mitchells are inseparable. We WILL see each other again. But please babe don't say that we aren't going to see each other again, please" and breaks down as well. 

They stand there crying and hugging until Admiral walks up and says "Ghost, it's time to leave" they separate and head to the runway. When they arrive, Rooster says "Ghost, be a thief in the night, don't get yourself killed out there" She runs and hugs him saying "Roo, take care. I love you " (like a friendship love) Rooster says"I love you too darling" (half friendship half Romantic love) she gets in the cockpit and turns to Rooster waving. He waves back. A tear falls down both of their eyes and she takes off. Rooster collapses on the runway treats streaming down his face knowing he won't see her again.
