ELEVEN AND MAX had spent the night at the cabin. Hopper wasn't only glad his daughter finally had a friend, but he was even happier by the fact it wasn't a boy. Mike Wheeler was out of his sight, and he couldn't be more pleased. The girls had spent the night giggling and playing games, but there was one in which they crossed the line. Using El's powers, they saw the boys in the Wheeler's basement and Billy with a girl. The brunette had a weird feeling about the latter, so when the rainy morning came up, they went towards the Mayfield household. Lennon opened the door with a raised eyebrow "What trouble did you two get in?" They smiled sheepishly before explaining everything that happened the prior night.
Entering Billy's room with a grimace, Max said, "Why do I get the feeling we're gonna find all kinds of wrong in here?" Music played on the background as she neared a drawer, opening to see magazines her brother enjoyed often "Ugh! Gag me with a spoon."
Lennon chuckled, looking around as if to find a clue of where he was. Max and Eleven went towards the bathroom as the older redhead stayed there. She went to open a drawer that didn't budge, trying again and getting frustrated because it wasn't opening. Until -Clink- Lennon grinned as it finally opened. She glanced over it before grabbing what was inside. There, she found multiple pictures. The girl frowned as she saw one of a blonde woman, taking a few seconds to recognise Billy's mother. Susan had talked about her, and her death. But neither Billy nor his father had ever talked about her. The next picture she found really surprised her. It was the first picture Billy, Lennon and Max took together. Susan was really excited about taking it, and it was on Lennon's birthday. You could see the forced smiles, but she remembered the three of them laughing right after because one of their cousins tripped over his own feet.
The smile on her face quickly faded when Eleven and Max walked back inside, the former holding a yellow whistle "It's not Billy's, is it?" Max wondered aloud, a fearful look on her face.
"That's... Heather's." Lennon went to grab it, feeling a sudden ache on her head at the touch of it. Frowning, she stared at it. As if it would talk to her and tell her what was wrong.
"Do you know where we can find her?" Eleven asked.
"No, sorry." She was confused as Eleven and Max shared a knowing look "What? What am I missing?" After explaining what they were about to do, they moved to the bathroom Lennon and Max shared. The redheads opened the water sources as Eleven created a blindfold with whatever she found in Lennon's room.
Sitting crossed leg, Eleven was in the middle of the bathroom, the two other girls kneeled besides her in worry "What do you see?" Max asked her. Lennon glanced at her, not liking Eleven being inside of someone else's mind or whatever was happening. She thought it was dangerous, but, she would never stop the girl from doing what she thought was best.
"A door. A red door." She replied. A few seconds after it, she gasped and took the blindfold away.
"What happened? El!" Max said as she panted, glancing between the two sisters.
