LENNON's red hair looked beautiful in the early hours of the day. With the sun shining right in it, it looked as if it was kissed by fire. That morning, she had decided to pin half of her hair up, with two strands of hair cascading over the sides of her face. She wouldn't say it aloud, thinking that maybe it was stupid, but just by doing that she felt a bit better about herself. As if doing something to her hair other than brushing it meant that she was doing better. She was mostly lying to herself, but at least she looked pretty doing it.

Steve seemed to think the same thing as he stared at her. Currently, they were arriving back at Reefer's, brining more stuff Eddie asked for. Lennon was having a hushed conversation with Dustin, and whatever the boy said, made her eyebrows knit together. Robin held an uncontrollable grimace on her face, watching him as he stared intensely. Hitting his arm, she brought his attention to her "Stop that! She's gonna think you're a creep." She scoffed under her breath, turning away from him as she grabbed her jacket from the inside of the car.

Max stepped besides him, now both of them staring at Lennon with frowns "There's something wrong with her. But, she won't stop avoiding talking about it." She spoke up, only receiving a nod from Steve. He stared in thought as Dustin shrugged at something she asked, bitting on her nails anxiously.

"Do you think it has anything to do with last summer?" Steve wondered.

The short redhead shook her head "No. At least, not completely. I know there's something more. Just... don't know what it is." Max confessed in a whisper. Robin came to stand besides them, furrowing as Lennon approached them with a huff.

"What happened?" Robin asked Lennon and Dustin. The latter sighed, waving a hand at Lennon so she would reply instead of him.

Lennon closed her eyes as she exhaled "We still don't know where Lucas is. I'm worried." At the mention of her ex-boyfriend, Max's breath hitched slightly, only being noticed by her sister who sent her an apologetic smile "We'll go and find him later. Let's go." She nodded towards where Eddie was hiding, and they all followed her.

Having heard Max and Steve's conversation, Robin stepped forward to walk besides her. She licked her bottom lip nervously before speaking "Hey. You know you can talk to me about your problems, right? Like, we're friends. Well, at least, I hope we are. I know we haven't talked in a long time. But, I want you to know that you can still count on me. And, I hope I can still count on you as well. Because, I need advice from someone who was more brain cells than Mr. Hair Harrington right there." She pointed at her best friend with her thump, who was too busy talking with the younger teens to notice.

Lennon chuckled, caressing Robin's left arm in reassurance "Of course we're friends. Don't worry, if there's something to tell, I will. And if you need anything, you know where to find me." Robin smiled softly at that, watching Lennon's expression turn into one of guilt "I know I have distanced myself the past few months. I'm sorry. It's just... Sometimes, I need time alone."
