LENNON was already awake when Max woke up with a start. She left their shared room to find her older sister doing homework by the couch. Lennon just wanted to get it done so she didn't have to think about it during the rest of the weekend, expecting to spend it with her little sister. Without that much of a word, Max walked up to the sink to swallow her pills "Good morning, Max." Lennon spoke up, receiving a small nod.
"Good morning." She eyed the messy handwriting on her sister's notebook, finding it weird as she used to have nice handwriting. Yet again, Lennon had changed a lot over the summer. Max had a lot on her mind. Not just her nightmares, but also whatever happened the prior night. She knew Lennon would be avoiding having a conversation about it, as she had made it clear that whatever happened in that town she didn't want to know. She just wanted to focus on school and making ends meet. Still, Max couldn't take it off her mind. She was about to open her mouth when the sound of police sirens clouded their ears. Lennon winced, the sound making her ears hurt, which worried her sister.
Max stepped outside, being followed by Lennon who still held a face of discomfort "What is it now?" The taller redhead wondered aloud with a sigh. The police cars stopped in front of the Munson's trailer, causing them to exchange a glance.
Their mother surprised them with her presence "Looks like that Munson boy's up to no good again." She glanced at her daughters briefly, only to find them both staring at the scene in front of them. Max walked down the steps, not even thinking as she got closer to the crime scene.
She turned around abruptly, as someone grabbed her arm. Then, she sighed in relief when she found her sister, pulling up the strap of her pijamas that was falling from her shoulder "Let's get back inside before someone makes us." Max nodded, hand in hand with her sister as they went back to their house. Her eyes stayed put in the trailer, being able to see a body on the floor.
Max began tugging on Lennon's robe "Non, she's dead. That has to be Chrissy." She whispered, entering after her sister. She frowned as she pulled her into their room "Are you hearing me? Chrissy is dead." Lennon slammed the door behind them, making Max jump slightly.
"Stop!" She hissed as she pointed a finger at Max, who stepped back with a look she had never given Lennon before "Stop that. You know nothing. We know nothing." Lennon grabbed her by the shoulders, both having watery eyes as she continued "Do you understand me?"
Max shook her head slowly, being confused by her sister actions "No! We have to do something." She said in disbelief.
Lennon turned around, her hands flying above her head in distress "Not anymore. That Avengers crap we had going on? That's left on the past. Do you understand me?" Max stood stunned as Lennon grabbed something from under her bed.
