LENNON's worry was clear on her face. Max was determined, she was going to be bait. Nancy had tried to calm her friend down, but as always, Lennon had ended up closing herself from the rest. Now, as they made a plan to defeat Vecna, Lennon felt like end was nearer than she thought. She passed by her sister, who was having a hushed conversation with Nancy - probably about her -, and patted her back affectionately before standing besides Lucas. Seeing her arrive, he sighed, "Are you sure you wanna do this?"
"Yes. But I'm going to need your help." She turned her head to him, arms crossed around her chest. They nodded to each other before Eddie caught everyone's attention by placing a book on the table.
"Check this out. The War Zone." Everyone stood around him, Lennon between Erica and Lucas. She glanced back to see Max behind, instead than with the group. The younger redhead knew if things went south, she didn't have much time. So, she was trying to take everything in one last time. Meanwhile, Eddie continued, "I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh... well, killing things, basically."
"No wonder you're a wanted man." Lennon joked, earning his middle finger and a blank stare. She covered Erica's eyes, who huffed.
Robin chuckled before asking, "You think fake Rambo has enough guns there? Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?"
"Well, lucky for us it is, so... This-This place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of the main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks." Eddie told them.
Dustin chuckled under his breath, "Non can handle the cops." The girl in question sent him a subtle wink, while the four teens that had been in the Upside Down exchanged a confused glance.
"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to coke store called the War Zone." Erica remarked with an incredulous tone.
"That's a very good point." Lennon agreed, the shorter girl sending her a grateful smile. Often, people didn't take her seriously because of her age, but that never happened with Lennon.
Nancy shook her head from in front of them, "Normally, I'd agree. But, we need the weapons. So, I think it's worth the risk." She glanced at Lennon, trying to figure out what her friend was thinking about. But, her face was stoic, unreadable for her.
"Me too." Lucas agreed, earning an odd look from Erica.
"But, is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back." Dustin commented.
Eddie glanced at Lennon, who was distracted. When she realised, she furrowed before shaking her head. Then, he raised an eyebrow, everyone else watching in confusion "It was your idea." He hissed when she shook her head again.
"I was joking! And depressed! Why would you take anything that I say seriously!?" She whispered-yelled, maintaining eye contact with him as neither of them backed away.
