after jacob & the others left the zoo to make sure no one will see charlie and vaggie after what they saw on the news back at dave n busters and realize who they are if the humans find out, we see jacob driving his car with zuzu next to him with nervous expressions while vaggie and charlie were upset, but mostly charlie for her dad when he just literally announce himself and his people and now she's worried if they treat her badly with vaggie comforting her as jacob broke the silence
jacob: i can't believe that your dad did this charlie, does he do this all the time before our world's merged?
charlie: unfortunately...yes, but i can't blame him. i know he'll try to make sure your people know we aren't like what the stuff in those horror movies you showed us.
zuzu: well i think it's best that we lay low for a while.
vaggie: agreed.
she said as they stop at a red light as charlie sighed, but as she looked out of the window next to her, she spotted something 5 feet away it was a tall building that she never seen before, it was the san diego central library
charlie: hey jacob, what's that?
she asked as she pointed at the building she spotted
jacob: huh? oh, that's the central library, it basically has everything you need to know about our kind's history. it's best that you know a thing or two about us.
zuzu: like when you said about learning history you had trouble of that one time?
jacob: (deadpanned) don't remind me.
he said as an idea popped into charlie's head
charlie: is it ok if we go there?
she asked as jacob thought about it, even though he and zuzu haven't been there in a while and it is time to show charlie and vaggie history of the human world
jacob: i don't see why not, me and zuzu haven't been there in a while, right?
zuzu: totally, i think we need to upgrade our library cards, jacob do you still have yours?
she asked as jacob pulled his library card out
zuzu: looks like i got my answer.
she said as the light turned green and they drove to the central library and park near the entrance and as soon as they walked in, charlie and vaggie went full blown anime eyes at seeing the interior of the library, they even noticed an escalator and stairs next to it
on the second and third floors, there were computers and bookshelves and the checkout line was near the entrance of the library
charlie: wow, this place is amazing!!
vaggie: yeah, never seen anything like it.
she said with a warm smile
jacob: i take it that you never seen a library back home?
vaggie: well, yes, but instead of books like these, they sell (whispers) porn mags and stuff like that.
she whispered so that way no one will hear that last part
charlie: she's right, plus my family has a library like this, but it has our history in the books we have back home.
she said as vaggie nodded
zuzu: i get it, private library stuff.
charlie: exactly.
jacob: well it's time you learn about our history since we brought you here. come on, i'll show you the person we know to get you set up.
