Running to the bus, Charlotte realized she forgot to brush her teeth.
Her mouth tasted like a dead animal.
She put in a piece of cinnamon gum in her mouth, and proceded to chew. It burned her mouth, which was a relief in the cool winter air.
The bus drove up and she hopped in quickly to leave the brisk breeze behind, only to discover the bus windows were all open. She sighed, and closed all the windows. It didn't help much as the bus was already cold
She sighed again. Suddenly, the bus grew warmer. Charlotte was momentarily confused, then thought the bus driver must have turned the heat on.
