Chapter 21
Charlotte got on the airplane, Jonathan beside her, and began chewing gum as they prepared for lift off. Charlotte was by the window, and Jonathan was on the isle as there were only two seats on each side of the plane. Charlotte was not a big fan of confined spaces, but heights didn't bother her.
She felt the rumbling of the engine as the plane began speeding down the runway, towards the sky. Then they begam lifting off. Charlotte's stomach dropped as they ascended into the sky, with only physics to keep her in the air. They had a long plane ride ahead of them, and then an even longer one, so Charlotte got out a book and began reading

Charlotte jolted awake about forty-five minutes before landing, feeling gross and sweaty. Her book had fallen off her lap when the plane's vibrations had lulled her to sleep, losing her page. She cursed under her breath. The plane went through another huge bout of turbulance, which was probably what had woken her up originally.
After this flight they had one more connecting flight, then they were where Jonathan had apparently got the tickets for. Rome. Charlotte was extremely excited and tried learning Italian. She learned one word. Thank you or grazie. Not the most useful, but what was she supposed to do?
They got off one plane and boarded the next one. Charlotte watched a lot of movies. After the fourth one, she began feeling pretty sleepy. There was still two more hours on the plane, and she could feel her eyes closing. She put her head on the nearest thing, Will's shoulder, and slept.

She woke up two hours later to Jonathan shaking her and whispering "Welcome to Rome, Charlie."
